I watched starters on our championship squad do the exact same thing while being swept by the Sonics in 1996.

Before game 4 vs. the Sonics, Horry was quoted in the paper saying, "well you can't win it all every year...and we'll get 'em next year." (paraphrased).

Adding Dwight gives us an opportunity to trade Asik + group of rookies for a 3rd star.....so yes.

Celebrity front row at Lakers games is now empty. They all left, especially Jack Nicholson at the start of the 4th. HAHA nice to see!

Howard coming here is a risk because of his drama queen antics but undeniably he is the top center in the NBA and makes us instant contenders. Risk worth taking.

Asik will have to go and trade for a PF with offensive skills.

    Don't care, Dwight Howard.
We need another star on this team, treadmill of mediocrity if we don't go for another star.

He is the top center because the position has never been at a worst state than it is now. He wouldn't even be top 10 in Dream's era.

    Yup. LeBron quit too.
Then he ended up joining a better team.

Same story, different player. JOIN HOUSTON.

sigh him, trade asik/lin/tjones/dmo/trob/etc for a multi-dimensional pf such as one of the gasol brothers.

I don't even think it is what people are making it out to be. Mitch apparently is giving Dwight a butt pat and Dwight is just talking out to know one in particular, his eyes are moving as he talks so hes really not talking at Mitch.

Sadly yes. I do think however he just isn't happy there. He doesn't like the coach, he doesn't like the critisizm and I don't think he like Kobe breathing down his neck constantly.

I think a happy Dwight is a awesome Dwight. He will have fun on this team. They are all young and the city will be theirs.

I'm a HUGE Omer fan and I think a lot of people undervalue what he does because his defense isn't seen in the box scores. But if we can get Dwight, you gotta do it.

I also think he'd like playing for McHale. And if not, I think Morey finds a coach Dwight meshes with. I don't really want the guy either folks, he's a whiny b****, but we might need him. Probably an acquisition you cant pass up.
