What are the implications? The same exit polls that showed Walker winning showed the same voters picking Obama by a large margin.
That's like patting Rick Perry on the back for balancing our 10 billion dollar deficit by slashing several billion dollars from education. I mean I guess he balanced a budget but then again both are constitutionally required to. You really don't get a medal for something you're legally obligated to do.
if it's so simple and required, then how did Wisconsin end up with a $3 million deficit to begin with? Ed SChultz 'Walker may be indicted in the next few days' hahaha
Why did Texas have a deficit over 10 billion dollars? It's not an achievement when you are FORCED by law to balance a budget. The economy collapsed in 2008 if you didn't remember and that kind of wrecks your tax base and starves your government of revenues. It's why its so laughable when any former governor brags about his balanced budgets that he or she had to do by law.
You are being so dishonest. If creating a surplus is so easy, why do all these states have deficits? simple question. Walker gets tons of props. his legislation did exactly what he said it would do .
Well this one was too easy to predict But sadly, Barrett wasn't going to win this one. A good ground game can only do so much. Interestingly, thanks to a quirk on Wisconsin's election laws, Barrett's donors had to abide by $10000 contribution limits while Walker's donors did not. Talk about screwed up. http://www.npr.org/2012/06/05/154368815/in-fundraising-walker-had-a-governors-advantage
Wasn't that the senate election that Jeri Ryan's husband dropped out of on the heels of a sex scandal? How much cash did he need to beat Alan Keyes' last minute candidacy?
Very wealthy people are willing to spend a lot of money to make unions, worker benefits, and labor rights disappear. ...and somehow they've managed to convince people who would benefit from unions, worker benefits, and labor rights that these things are "morally wrong." Here's the trick: The people who convinced you that these things are "morally wrong" have no moral qualms - their stakes are purely financial, and they know that you'll do what they want if they convince you that you're on the same side they are. That you're all part of the same system, just different by degrees. It's not true, but you refuse to realize that.
This is not against unions in general. This is against public sector unions which should be illegal anyway. We need a federal law making public sector unions illegal. First of all, a lot of people in public sector unions are essential jobs such as police officers, firefighters, school teachers etc... These are people that the public can't afford to have them go on strike. Which brings up another issue, they are paid with tax money. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the workers in private industry organizing.
Is this a serious post? You're telling us that you believe Fire Fighters, Teachers and Cops do not have the 'Right' to organize? They do not have the right to fight for better pay? Or better benefits? And the Private Sector does? The disease runs deep with some here......
