WCS is a good player for a good team, bad player for a bad team. He is worth 30th something pick, not 50th pick. winner is mavs.
https://www.prosportstransactions.com/basketball/DraftTrades/Future/Mavericks.htm If it's the Utah one, they still have the more valuable GSW one, and GSW's record would suggest the highest pick in the 2nd.
This shouldn’t be more than one page of discussion but Clutchfans likes exaggerate bench players importance all the time
LOL. This cheerleader was busy watching an actual Rockets game when he got a notification about being mentioned by you in a Mavs-related thread. Imagine being more interested in reading a Mavs thread and replying to people than actually watching a Rockets game. Go back to your football forum instead of pretending being someone you're not.
Moreyball isn't an offense, it just tells you 3s are good, mid range is bad. The entire league is doing Moreyball now, or havent you seen the stat of 3s increasing and mid range Js decreasing in the NBA? That is the entire NBA, not just the Rockets. Are you saying Morey designed the offense for all 30 NBA teams then? Lol! And tbh Morey didnt even invent analytics, it was started in baseball Morey just applied it to basketball. And Morey wasnt even the first to apply it in basketball, Popovich and Danny Ainge were the first ones to apply it to basketball, they were just quiet about it so it didnt get named Popsball and Aingeball. Popovich especially was already using analytics to scout players in Europe, thats how he kept getting gems like Scola, Parker and Ginobili. Notice how these 3 always drive to the hoop and dont settle for mid range Js. Oth Ainge was using analytics before Morey cuz that is where Morey was working before Les Alexander pirated him away. Morey just became the figurehead of analytics because of Bill Simmons and his "dork elivis" branding and Morey himself having a big mouth and spilling his trade secrets to anyone who asked. But he was far from being the first one to use analytics, just the most popular one. So to sum it all up you don't know the history of Moreyball nor what it really is and its impact on the league so you probably shouldnt be posting about it. There might be a reason to fire Morey, and that is he is too successful and now every team either has a Morey GM or an analytics member in their office. The league has caught up and Morey has to show everyone he still has some aces up his sleeve. But if he does get fired, he will immediately get snatched as a GM or assistant GM by some other org like Dallas. Cuz everyone except CF knows Morey is damn good at his job.
