Assuming we don't have to give up any of our core guys and Howard at least maintains the health he showed in the last quarter of last season, we would instantly be one of the top 4 teams in the NBA. Of course I would be somewhat disappointed. That being said, I love watching this team as it stands even if we weren't the best. Watching the young guys develop is almost as fun as winning a championship.

Not really. If he decides not to join us, this will prove he wasn't ready to commit to Houston Rockets basketball.

Do you believe in using cap space? Or just having it?

Haha, I know others beat me to the response, but still. Maybe we're all getting punked by sarcasm here.

There's a palpable excitement about the team. If its not Dwight it will be someone else. Kevin Love. Lamarcus Aldridge. Hell Kevin Durant. Whatever.

Mental strength is a huge thing. Dwight really can't handle it mentally, he needs to see a shrink or some kind of therapist. He has the skills to be a great, but I dont think he has the mental capacity to handle any kind of pressure. The whole media circus when the summer before he signed with the lakers and the way the season turned out and his attitude jsut really is a turn off. You could be the biggest all star ever but it wont help if you cant work with 4 players on the court and ignore pressure from media and fans. I'm sure houston isn't as bad as LA media and the fans, but eyes will still be on him. The chemistry in the rockets locker room is pretty damn good, and dwight could fit in, or really really really REALLY ruin it.

It's just something about a team that develops it's own star and role players over time. Something that teams like the Rockets, OKC, GSW's are currently doing. It's just a little more exciting than feeding off of other teams leftovers. No disrespect to Howard. He will fit the team well. Just sayin, i wouldn't be mad if he pulled another stunt move. We are in good position. The team will already be twice as better as it was this past season. They could actually just keep adding more youth.

I'm cool with Asik. Spend that money on Millsap and J-Smooth.

I'm fine one way or the other, as long as he makes a decision reasonably fast.

If he makes Morey sit up and beg, drags us through a dwightmare, then signs with us, I won't like him. This team don't have a drama queen and don't need one.

If he makes Morey sit up and beg, drags us through a dwightmare, then not sign with us, I will hate him.

If it happens I'll laugh at Dwight Howard for making the worst possible decision, but I won't be mad unless the Rockets panic and waste money on a big name scrub like Josh Smith.

To be fair to dwight, he has lead a team to the NBA finals. Something that cannot be said of any of those players. ( Yes I know R. Lewis was on that team)
