    Capela, Nene, Black
    Anderson, PJ, Qi
    Ariza, Luc, Williams
    Harden, Gordon
    Paul, Brown, Canaan/Jackson

Seems pretty deep to me (aside a decent player to back up CP). Problem is we got some injuries early, but that's what happens every year to different teams. Spurs are without Parker and Kawhi but Pop still gives plenty of time to Murray and Anderson, he plays them as starters and gives them 25/30 minutes per game, he doesn't play 8 guys, and he still wins games, he did the same in the past years playing trash like Lee, Ayres...and he's not even the only one doing this btw, plenty of coaches do the same. On the other hand MDA just never gives young guys a chance, this is well known at this point, he runs few guys to the ground like Thibodeau...which is fine if he thinks that's the right approach, i just don't want to hear talking about tired legs going forward.

Difference is Pop and Kerr have a system and can plug guys in and they have drafted well or picked up solid young players. Bell, McAdoo, McCaw for the Warriors and for the Spurs the young guys Simmons, Murray, Mills all look(ed) good despite being young and or rookies. We have rarely drafted well enough and if we did, either didn't develop them or didn't give them enough time to develop. Also, trusting young guys instead of being forced to play a deeper bench is a big difference. MDA has a short leech on young bucks just like McHale and doesn't show trust.

We signed 3 pt guards last week, when we had a better option in Bobby Brown on the bench, all along. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE, UNLESS YOU PLAY THEM!! I guess Harden had to step in and force MDA to play Bobby Brown

one is based on total minutes...
    one is mpg...

one shows 5 of top 21 players are Rox for most minutes...
The other states that Harden is the only Rocket in the top 30 for mpg...

both may be factually correct... but they give very different impressions...

If 5 of the top 21 guys playing the most minutes are Rockets... that would support that MDA's short rotation is driving guys too hard...
but if harden is the only Rocket in the top 30 - then it appears MDA is not driving guys too hard - just possibly Harden...

of course injuries/availability could also skew the numbers - ie Ariza

    Dude, minutes PER GAME.

Have you thought for a moment that how come Lebron was not even in the top 20?

bruh, fixed it for you. Best team in the NBA playing high min to. If you want to win basketball games, you play your best players as long as they can. They will let the coach know if they are tired. They are trained athletes, best in the world. We should be worried about your 3 pnt % before we worry about our min

The Greek Freak is no. 1 right now on most minutes played per game, and of course, with one less game played, he is not even in the top 20 of total minutes.

    yeh, i get that, man...

just showing that 2 different breakdowns (mpg vs tot mins) paint very different pictures.... i would presume mpg to be the more accurate depiction...

PJ a Moute were signed to play extra minutes when we have injuries to two starters and another 20+minute rotation guy.

Playing PJ a Moute extra minutes in this situation isn't going to tire them out for the playoffs. Come on.

Now, it might hurt their stamina tonight in a B2B. But when playing two away B2Bs and you want to insure you come away with at least one win, all coaches try to win the first game, not rest for the second one.

You never know what is happening behind the scenes. I suspect Troy is specifically in the doghouse for something.

It was the same with Bobby Brown until D'Antoni was basically forced into playing him, and now we look stupid as hell for wasting money on Canaan when Bobby Brown is basically a cheap/better version of Canaan.

    They aren't ...

One is total minutes , the other is minutes per game .

The rockets have played 6 games while a lot of other teams have only played 5

Wasn’t this discussed in the off-season because of James tiring out?

It seems he is more concerned about winning 60 regular season games, than winning 16 playoff games.

You have to give these guys spot minutes. Even if it's 4-5 minutes a half. Warriors main guys might play a lot of minutes, but they will still give the 10th 11th and 12th man spot minutes. Same as the Spurs, but we run 7-8 guys into the ground.
