    This was an interesting thought, if Lin plays decently this season(not all star caliber) do you think he will make the all star ballot? I'm thinking that the Rockets over paid to have him here for the 2013 Allstar game in Houston. If he does make the ballot all the Chinese fans will vote for him. This will be interesting as well having a Rocket in our hometown for the Allstar game if we don't acquire Dwight.

    maybe but i wouldn't want him in if he was undeserving (sub-par stats).

    btw i felt the same way when yao got all those votes a couple years back when he was injured and barely played.

    He's got a leg up, he only has to be solid to be an all-star, he doesn't actually have to play like an all-star. So I'll say "yes".

    All Star game is not about the best players, it's about the most popular players. There's no such thing as undeserving if you get voted in by fans to a popularity contest.
