Honestly, he should. Cost-cutting and incompetence at the very top of the organization hurt his chance at a legacy-defining 2nd MVP and ring last year.

I mean, maybe in the future but not because of Gary Clark.

IF cost cutting remains a priority, apparently reading is again a problem.

Harden doesn't care about young player development. What stars always want are veterans that know their roles, not young upcoming players that will need time to adjust.
Harden has 2 years here to try and win and them probably both him and the team will look to part ways regardless of the luxury tax savings

Problem is if the Rockets won't pay there are franchises that will. The Lakers, Knicks and Warriors will all pay. Even franchises like the Trailblazers are paying. If Tillman doesn't prove he is willing to spend and do what it takes to win a championship there is no way we are getting big name free agents in the future to come here. If not then we are getting players that are just here for a paycheck.
Harden wants to win. He also knows that it isn't going to last forever. Give it a year or two and if Tillman just proves to be talk, then be prepared for that James Harden returns to the Toyota Center game on TNT. I hope he wins a championship. I hope he wins one in Houston. I just have little faith in our ownership. He is proving to be all talk.

Harden is emulating the Heat version of Lebron and getting his superstar friends on board.

Sad thing is Wade and Bosh were better/in the weaker East. Durant is like getting injury prone fast. WB is WB on the court.

This strategy is not flexible. The owner won't get high end role players.

And sacrifice leaving a system that allows him near 40% usage rate and the specific style of offense that Harden absolutely loves that allows him to score 35 ppg and be compared to the likes of Wilt Chamberlain?

Nah, I think he loves this system and isn't going to sacrifice losing the pull he has on the franchise for a new franchise and coaching system that frowns on that style of offense.

nope, unless Rockets decide to trade him, Reason is simple, this team will offer him more money than any other team.
