Bringing those guys up who have nothing at all in common with Fuller other than drops is painting a false image of the kind of receiver he is. Andre Johnson had problems with drops too, but just like all of those other guys you listed, they were for different reasons than why Fuller has problems with drops.

It would be like saying "Carlos Gomez really is struggling with strike outs" and then someone saying "So what? Babe Ruth struck out a lot too"

I think one of those passes he caught was bobbled off his facemask. lol. Anyway, I hope this ends up being a bit of a steal.

Even if he continues to have problems dropping passes due to his poor hands and his body catching style, he still forces the opposing defense to respect his ability as a burner, in that way, he'll be helpful no matter what. We'll almost certainly get pissed off a few times when he should have a TD catch but the ball bounces off his hands, but hopefully even more when he catches them.

    Well said.

It was not a coincidence that the Texans signed Lamar Miller.

As well as drafted WILL FULLER and Braxton Miller.

Will is going to be the guy who makes our offense go.

As ridiculous as that sounds, he is the guy that Brock feels most comfortable throwing to right now.

Probably because he gets wide open so easily

Love the way he tracked the ball on the TD

No it's an illustration of some of the greats dropping passes in the NFL. It happens to the best of them. But I see you people just like to argue too damn much. smh!

Arguing just to be arguing is your forte as usual. It's an illustration that even the some of the elite receivers dropped passes at a high rate. Brandon Marshall was another one who led the NFL is drops.

And no it's not. again too damn extreme and for what.

I'm not arguing just to argue....trying to bring up COMPLETELY different receivers in terms of quality and style in order to counter legitimate criticism is arguing just to argue.

Each QB throws different types of passes with varying degrees of comfort and accuracy. The stats agencies as far as I know have yet to be as comprehensive enough to quantify this.

But maybe the Texans knew from their coaches watching a lot of tape, that the over the shoulder fade pass was something Brock was particularly good at. So they drafted for him a WR who was particularly good at tracking and catching those types of passes. So far this preseason we've seen Brock throw the over the shoulder pass to Hopkins Fuller and Strong. He's looked pretty damn accurate doing it. So kudos to the front office and coaching staff of this ends up working out.

Hopkin, fuller, Braxton, and strong. Remind me of the oilers 4 wide out in the 90's. Haywood Jeffery, Ernest giving, Webster slaughter and something hill. Gosh I'm old

I'll take Fuller's drop passes with the type of production he had in this game. He's a threat on darn near every down. The separation at the line of scrimmage is impressive already. He's proven to be coachable from the reports at spring training and to know he's got upside to get even better working at his craft...JEEZ!

Drew Hill. You're also missing Curtis Duncan.

The Pros outweigh the Cons with this young man IMO.

He is fast don't get me wrong.

The reason he has had success early is that he is good with his hands at the time of reception by nudging his defender off a bit.

Hop is wearing off on these guys.

Fuller is going to run by a few guys but from what I have seen early, there are going to be guys in the NFL who can stay in his hip pocket full stride.

It's funny that people are focusing on the drops, in reality all he has to do is catch one and the defense will have to adjust.

He doesn't even have to do that. Defenses have to respect him for his speed alone. A wide open WR with no one between him and the end zone is NEVER a good thing for any D, especially a speedster. Assuming he catches it (his drop issues are waaaay overblown), it's an automatic touchdown for Fuller. Maybe 1% of DB's out there have a chance of catching him.

Agreed.. just pointing out, 10% would equal only 6-8 DBs in the entire league.

One percent (1%) would mean there's less than a 50/50 chance a given season features any DB on any team's roster catching him.

NOBODY is catching Fuller if he's already caught the ball and hit stride.
