after the 2014 draft: "best draft in franchise history" -bobby the board is much more palatable when you don't take bobby seriously. his "on record" player evals is as bad as it gets. i wish we could access the draft threads from last season... real gold in there courtesy of bobby.
Teams shouldn't be afraid of picking him. Everyone, including fans, know that he's no finished product. If their starting QB starts sucking, there won't be a clamoring for Jones to start because of how infantile he is in terms of qb development. There is no downside to picking him in terms of having to start him early due to fan pressure, there is only upside if he develops.

THIS...all 3 of those games were "do-or-die" situations for Ohio St. And even though he was listed (by depth) as 3rd-string QB, fact is, he got the job done at the QB position. But their RB Elliot was playing outstanding as well.
If he declares for the draft now, he can have washed out of the NFL entirely and be ready to play for the Montreal Alouettes within 2 years. He didn't go to Ohio State to play school, he went there to punch his ticket to the CFL. I wish the kid well.
Dream 2015 scenario, 1. Denver cuts Peyton. 2. Peyton signs with us for 2 years 3.We secure an extra 2nd rounder. 4. With the extra 2nd rounder we draft Cardale. 5. Cardale sits behind Manning. 6. Clowney, Nix, Su'a-Filo, and Posey become All Pro's.
You do realize that everyone thinks that you're a clown, right? You're so damn delusional. To think that I've even defended you a couple of times. Shame on me.
I'm pretty sure you don't speak for "everyone" and I see no reason to think you'd have better takes on what "everyone" thinks than you do about football. Your personal attacks are adorable, but I'm sure "everyone" would appreciate it if you didn't keep trying to derail the thread with your nonsense. Thanks.
The guy is 24 years old and not getting any younger. Might as well cash in while his stock high (probably as high as it's gonna get).
I can see his motivation for it, but I can't see why any NFL GM would waste anything before a 6th or 7th rounder on a backup quality college QB. His stock would certainly go down after another year on the bench, but I'm just not sold that it's that high even now. If he ends up going undrafted, which IMO is very possible if not likely, it'll look like he made a mistake.
His opinions don't bother me, although I don't agree often. What bothers me is having half of the responses on any thread he enters being from him. I want to hear multiple opinions, not just bobby challenging any and all takers to a pissing contest.
There is no formula for a kid being a success and not a success. Leinart went back for his senior season as did Barkley and look at how that turned out for them. I know Pro guys like to think that letting guys cook in college so that they're nice and we'll done is how they should develop but sometimes talent and instincts win out. The most unpredictable thing in all of sports is how a player responds to the next level. Some do great (JJ Watt) others dont. Ride the gravy train kid.
