I think you’re going to see one of the Astros Yankees or Dodgers win it. But any team in it is absolutely a threat to win any given series. Particularly the 1st round best of 5. My response was to you saying our first round opponent isn’t a threat. That’s just not accurate.

Baseball needs to get over themselves and have games that overlap in the Divisional Round. Two time slots in the evening. I'm sure overall ratings would be better because you'd have more viewers at home. Ratings for the Yankees series won't drop more than what's gained for the Astros if they were shown at the same time in prime time. Not too many people are planning to watch every DS game.

This right here. Every US league that uses a playoff series format recognizes this has to be done. And every league (Other than the NCAA) recognizes that weekday playoff games during work hours are not a good idea for any ratings.

The only way this changes though, is if the television networks force it in their next agreement with MLB.

MLB takes care of MLB. They put us on FS1 on Friday and Yankees prime time is on MLB Network which MLB owns a 67% interest. FOX and TBS would have to complain. Considering fox has the world series I doubt they care that much.

Both teams are dangerous due to the short series, but I feel like I'd rather have the A's. We've dominated them over the last few years up until the last 2 series and I feel like if we pour it on in Game 1, they may start to question themselves.

Why? We send him to the locker room pretty early last time he pitches against us. Plus, he’s pitching in WC game so that mean he won’t be seeing him until game 3.

Be careful what we wish for. I’m ready for the playoff and doesn’t matter who the opponents are.

Stepping back, A's and Rays won 97 and 96 games respectively. In 2015, thosewould have been the best two records in the AL. Sucks for those 2 teams to being only great in an era of super teams.

As Rocket fans, I think we're pretty familiar with this feeling.

We're talking about a team who's logo is a burst of sunshine. A burst of sunshine people. The other team has a dancing elephant. These two teams are more likely to show up in a Taylor Swift video with the dancing sharks.

Manaea gets the start for the A's. I like this from an Astros perspective as I'd rather face Fiers in game 1 than Manaea (should they advance)

The "U" seems carefully placed and shaped. And he does seem to have caught a fish that big.

The tarp is coming off of Mt. Davis. Gonna be weird seeing the A's play in front of a packed stadium.
