Why would Minnesota trade Kevin Love for Parsons, Lin, and a late first round pick?

I thought about that. We could trade Lin to a team with cap space, generating a TPE that could be used to absorb $8.4 million of salary from Minnesota. The real question is how much would it cost to unload Lin?

Count me as one of the people who don't see this changing anything. They're at ~$69mil. The Apron is $81mil. Only if there's a trade where salary discrepancy is over $10mil would there be an issue.

    Why

Maybe they don't want to give up too much for a possible one year rental.
