start week 1! No team is going to trade for him at this point, there's too much up in the air! Next yr, probably, this yr...NO CHANCE! Plus, teams with draft capital and young QBs, i.e, Miami, Philly, etc. want to make sure they exhaust all of their avenues before they look elsewhere for anither QB. Now here's why I feel STRONGLY about him playing Week 1; Deshaun Culley and Caserio has been talking. Deshaun has been participating in practice. And finally, ALL OF A SUDDEN word came out on yesterday that the Texans were closing practice to the media and today Deshaun comes out with an attitude directed at the MEDIA. I think he was pissed because he wants to increase his reps w/o the MEDIA around and get ready for WEEK 1!!
Once he starts playing for the Texans again something tells me those sexual assault allegations will just go away.
I agree with this. I think it's inevitable. Will be interesting to see how his perception around town changes if he and the team perform well. If this happens.
So, you don't think it's a possibility?? If you think like the Texans and TRUST ME, I know that's difficult but what else makes sense from trying to close camp early on Wed and the reponse from DW4 gave the following morning.
Watson doesn't have an interest to play for the Texans and if you put him out there he will give a half ass effort. Though Watson at 50% is better than any other options the Texans have. I can see Watson trying to become more of distraction where the team will feel it's in the best interest to send him home with pay.
If Watson is the starter we might be able to eek out 4 wins. Without him this team won’t be competitive and won’t win a game. Might as well tank and get the top pick.
The play Watson and trade him next off-season is the worst option. This team could end up winning 8 or 9 games and getting the 20th pick in the draft. Either bench him win 3 games and start the road to rebuild this year…or hope he re-engages with the Texans and wants to stay permanently. The latter probably isn’t happening might as well keep him on the bench.
Deshaun blocked me on Twitter because I @‘d him basically telling him how he failed his fans, turned his back on the city of Houston, let down the children who idolize him, and is trying to run away from his problems. So at the very least he SAW it and at least knows what some Texans fans feel about how he’s handled the past 8-9 months.
