Thread was over by this post on the first page. Iggy is one of if not THE best perimeter defender in all of basketball. He's made the NBA all-defensive second team, has led the league in defensive win shares, and is routinely matched up against the other team's best wing player so he can shut that player down. If a person is new to basketball and wonders what all the fuss is over a 15 / 5 /5 guy like Iggy, this is why. The man is incredible on the defensive end of the floor, and just finished representing the U.S. in the Olympics because of this precise reason. It is no surprise at all that Iggy would be James Harden's kryptonite. This collective tendency to look to some deficiency by the Rockets or blame Kevin McHale for every loss, and give ZERO CREDIT to great play by other players on another team is pitiful. Sometimes you just run up against a better player. Like Andre Igoudala.
The first two games he was getting off but now he has had a few practices with Mcfail and he would screw Michael Jordans game up if he coached him.
Because the Fans in Houston Suck. Harden is used to the energy in the OKC. I blame the LOF's who attend the games.
This guy.....???!! How many games have we played now?? C'mon man ....smh....I guess we are suppose to be in the top 5 in the west this year too huh?!Stop it!
Yes. Thank you. The team needed to diversify, needed to move away from depending on Harden to score 30 or 40 something in order to win. Needs for other players to get involved and gain confidence. Some seem to overlook the fact that Delfino and Pat had their best games of the season last night. The fact that Harden will either have an off game or be stopped by a superior defender on occasion drives my point home. We need to learn how to win when this is the case. While we didnt win last night, but we didnt get blown out either. Other guys were forced to step up. We fell short, but it was a good lesson and one that will pay dividends latter in the season.
" I have been saying this repeatedly for a while now. Harden & Lin aren't struggling per se the roster just doesn't have the right personell to put them in a position to succeed. And is anyone surprised really? Odd to me that everyone is angry when you could see this coming from miles away.
Wont get much easier next game...he gets Tony Allen. He really needs more consistent help on offense.
Same reason why he 'disappears' in the finals - The oppoents are good(Dwade and Iggy). Otherwise Miami fans and Denver fans would be curious why their stars can't slowdown a young and developing Harden. He'll figure it out and be better next time.
They can't be playing Memphis yet ca... *looks at schedule, groans* Tony Allen, ANOTHER defensive stopper in this league. The problem with being the focal point of an offense is that you are also the focal point of the other team's defense. If the Rockets see more of double-digit assist Harden and more of a desire to share the load, it should be fine. Even though Memphis notoriously plays the passing lanes, it should still work out favorably for Houston.
Hopefully McHale will implement some more wrinkles in the offense (or just add implement an offense). Teams have tape on us now and it seems that they're figuring us out.
After Tony Allen is LBJ. It only gets tougher for James. I would really love to beat memphis somehow because we are going to be blown out by miami.
Harden took himself out of the game which is also on his teammates and especially McHale and the coaches. Just no offense, pick and roll, pick and roll, pick and roll...
