Why would they want Brooks when they have Collison on a rookie contract?

They need a PF, and we have one in Scola, but if they are willing to part with Granger they would be looking to rebuild and thus no need for Luis, so we'd probably have to offer Patterson and Pick to start things off

Becasue they siad they want a SG that can creat his own shot. Brooks is that SG. Brooks isn't a PG.

Honestly I think everyone on our team should be available except Ppat... He's still an unknown with a lot of upside and continues to show improvements.. On top of that he plays smart basketball.

This should be houstons top target add not carmello. We need some stability and Granger would provide that.

These would be the players i'd be willing to give up for Granger & Hibbert

    1.Ab
    2.Hill
    3.Kmart
    4.Bud
    5.Jeffries

I think those 4 are good enough on any starting team. They probably can beat up on Indiana's starters right now.

I think Indiana wants anyone taking granger to take some of these contracts
    TJford
    Posey
    Foster
    Dunleavy

I would give Martin, hill, scola, and a first round pick.
    Staring lineup
    Lowry
    Granger
    Battier
    Hayes
    Hibbert

We would become a very good defensive team, while letting Granger get his and the rest of the guys running Rick's offense. Our bench is still potentially really good.

honestly, i can see a 3way trade. i can't use the trade machine at my work but

I could see something like this going down.

    Houston -
    Granger/Hibbert

    Kings
    AB+Hill

    Indiana
    Landry/Martin+pick

LOL at thinking they would EVER EVER trade Hibbert. Their only bright spot. Let's Get Cousins While we're at it as the Backup.

Yeah, i read your thread, though I agree with you on most of it. Trades are usually more balance (except LA geting Gasol).

getting the Kings involved wll give them something they always wanted, another ball stopper in AB and get rid of Landry because they have to many PF.

Good things is Landry is a FA and can still come to houston.
I'd rather not give up scola in hopes we can still pair him with Landry. Essentially we get both Hibbert/Grangers for Martin. Then signing Carl in the off season. It is a very under handed way of an unbalance trade.

he hasn't been a bright spot of late. quit dismissing it as if hibbert was some sort of dwight howard. he isn't, he's a solid big man who's hit a rough patch.

as a georgetown student, i follow him avidly and always wish him the best, but the fact is, indiana may waver in their defiance to trade him.

This has the makings of a salary dump, IMO.

If you look at Indiana's payroll, outside of Granger they have basically Dahntay Jones (2.5 years remaining), Posey (1.5 years remaining) and a bunch of rookie contracts.

Given that Granger is signed to a reasonable contract, what motivation does Indiana have to move him unless they're trying to start over completely?
