Why has Barkley not sued the Rockets over that $3 million? Why have the Rockets not sued for libel?

absolutely agree. Les would never do what Buss did below

He'd rather trade Hakeem to Toronto than to pay over pay him for 1 year. Thanks Le$

If he had any serious case he would've taken it to arbitration...

3 Mill is no chump change even for Charles

Charles has lost over 10 million gambling in Vegas

He has irresponsibly lost more than whatever "phantom number" Les "owes" him

Dude is hating because he's a hater, nobody owes him squat

Unless its in writing or a handshake, there is no deal

Under the table b.s. is non enforceable in court so he's never getting whatever Les "owes" him

Dude needs the stf up and just count his blessings that his brain dead gambling habits didn't. put him in the poor house

I wonder why people leaving never have anything good to say about the organization.

Traded their all time franchise player so he could retire a Raptor
(let me know when this happens to Dirk or Duncan)

Let their franchise coach go to the lakers as opposed to their own organization.

Pissed off the last 3 coaches enough to the point they despise Les and the rockets.

The list goes on, even Battier isn't too keen about the rockets. I hope this fool sells the team and a competent owner revitalizes the franchise.

Les must be a bitter man when it comes to basketball and coaches.

We should have an owner that such a good Red Rowdy fan culture deserves.

So why do I see Hakeem and Tmac sitting courtside with Les at games and I'm not sure JVG has said anything bad about the organization? Yao? Clyde? I don't know, seems to be a ton of Rockets Alumn that still hang around the organization.

McHale has yet to trash the organization as well.

You just contradicted yourself, "handshake" deals are "under the table" deals. Anything not in writing or an official contract is considered as under the table and not usable in a court of law.

Barkley is probably not worried about money.
    If it's a raw deal it's a raw deal.
You hating on Barkley's criticism of the rockets doesn't make it an exception.

An even bigger reason why he would've gone for arbitration if there was actually any money owed:grin:

This is what I don't get.... The way he says things may not be politically correct, but the problem is... He's been dead on with most of his analysis of the rockets..

    I can't him a hater when he's been right...

You do realize Hakeem didn't even make it to the all star break healthy when he left here and it was a sign and trade and he chose to go to Toronto and he did it because he wanted 3yrs and the Rockets only offered 2. It came down to an average of 1 million per year. It was the right move for the Rockets Hakeem was toast at that point and it was time to move on and rebuild.

OK, the only thing that makes sense then, imo, is maybe Les had promised him a 1yr maximum salary, which was $9m, but $14m for 10+ yr vets (true for the 1999 CBA). Then after the team didn't succeed and #33 quit and forced a trade, Les went with the lowest max, knowing we were going to be rebuilding.

So, Barkley signs for less than what he thought the original "Max" promise was for. It explains the $9m v $14m numbers.

It would be easier to hate on Barkley... if he was more often than not wrong about the Rockets.

The Rockets are a team that is very hard to root for unless you're a Rockets fan. He said they wouldn't finish anywhere close to the top 4 this year. He felt worse about them when they got McHale fired. He didn't believe they were truly a great defensive team based solely on last year's stats.

Sure, he doesn't mince words when it comes to the Rockets... doesn't show any sort of respect... and that's all probably stemming from some deep-rooted vendetta to Les. However, if the Rockets are 73-9 and he's still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon, by all means he deserves to be ridiculed of his bias... if the Rockets can't help from embarrassing themselves, they deserve every bit to be called out for it.

He says this every year about the Rockets though. Last year he said they would at best be the 8th seed...

Hmmm, first example of his analysis I can remember on the Rockets is that he would kiss Kenny's ass if Yao ever scored 19 points. We all remember how that turned out. And at halftime of game 3, he guaranteed the Rockets would lose.
