Why Harden was on the court for the last shot?

We all know that Harden is not a good defender, he might be the worst defender on the team. So Why Mchale put Harden on the court to defend the last shot?

I'd rather use someone like Garcia to replace Harden.

BTW, Jeremy Lin derserves to be on the court as well if you've seen how good he was on the defensive end on Lillard 4th quarter.

Instead of Harden and Jones, I think a line up of Dwight, CP, Cisco, Lin and Bev could be much better.

    Didn't he block a 3 pointer in game 5?

With 0.9 seconds left, you're not as concerned about somebody's 1-on-1 defensive abilities (presuming even as absent-minded a defender that Harden is, he WILL stick to his man on this possession).

You do want somebody who's not a stiff, who's got good reach, and who the refs won't automatically call a foul on if there's slight contact.

If Garcia, D-mo, Casspi, or any other player goes in that hadn't played last night... and something similar happens... everybody would be up in arms about why McHale put in a cold player who wasn't in full game shape.

As it is, they had the player they deemed most likely to affect Lillard on him, and they failed... having Lin in for Harden likely doesn't change the situation, unless they decided to put Lin on Lillard (which in that case, why wouldn't have Beverley just guarded Lillard?... because Parsons was on him regardless).
