The Toyota Center looked half-empty last night, AGAIN this season. Yet, this isn't a new trend. What's the deal ? I thought we were actually supposed to have fans at the games? That's what the red rowdies are for right? No wonder it's hard to get up for games like the Thunder at home. I'd understand if it was a work night, but out of 3-4 million people in the Houston area, we can't put up a few more thousand fans a game? We have one hell of a team, but it's going to be hard to get amped for games when no one comes! regards, -Harry Potter.
I was at the game and it was pretty full.I guess tv makes it look emptier than it really is. I'm surprised at some fans though. I sat by a couple of annoying guys who were fans, yet kept yelling at Yao for not rebounding right. I mean shut the **** up he is an nba player and your not. garsh.
Well, it WAS the Thunder and there WAS a huge college football game on at the same time. BUT, I know what you mean. I swear, if there are copious amounts of empty seats at the Celtics game, I will be pissed. Who cares about the election when the World Champs are coming to town??? I have a feeling that there will be a lot of holes in the lower bowl for the Celtics game, lots of corporate tix won't show. I hope i'm wrong.
That's hardly an excuse. Again. We have HOW many millions in Houston? Every single one of them is in the house watching TTech and Texas?
Game 3 of an 82 game season. The Rockets season just started......I am sure the tickets were sold, but you can't force people to go to a low level game like this on a holiday weekend. Get real people !! DD
I heard the Rockets/OKC game was sold out. If it was in fact sold out, then tell the guys wanting to watch a college football game at a bar to give me and other real Rockets fans their tickets. Your front office made big moves, the Rockets are poised to do big things, and the ticket purchasers keep the tickets away from the fans. Maybe the move to downtown was a bad idea. Too much of a corporate surrounding
The Rox sell out most of their games I believe...however we all know that most of the best seats on the lower level in direct camera view are bought buy corporations. They give their tickets to employees and partners as gifts, but those people aren't often real fans, and couldn't give half a crap if a couple low level half court seats go to waste. When they do show, they usually just sit their on their cell phones anyways.
it's the thunder texas vs texas tech we don't really have an exciting team. yes we have artest now, but t-mac and yao aren't exactly crowd pleasers. not to mention we can barely run one fast break a game correctly. honestly, while we're good enough to win, we're a boring team. that also explains the lack of national tv appearances.
our two home games have been against bottom feeders. no ones racing to see Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay come to town. heck, Durant doesn't even have that pull in H-Town. Boston game will be as rowdy as last years matchup that broke the streak. also, Los Angeles better brace for the Rockets, because we are landing our gear and setting foot in LaLa land next weekend. they are getting anxious!
This is one of the reasons why the world needs secondary ticketing marketplaces such as viagogo and stubhub.
as long as the tickets sell for face value on those secondary ticketing marketplaces, I 'd be happy...
It's way too much to do in Houston, Texas for that fact to see Ok Thunder take a beating from the Rockets. I was under the weather, so I was barely able to even watch the game.....I watch more the of the UT game & Lebron vs Hornets - Tues. the place will be rocking & I will be in attendance!
Because tickets are expensive. All the cheap ones are bought out for people to sell at higher prices in secondary sellers. If I could find some affordable tickets for me and the family I would take advantage of it more often.
