If we cant get a solid pg at a reasnable price we should just do this:

How about just having a lineup of

    C-Yao/(FA)
    PF-Howard/Taylor/Weathespoon
    SF-Griffin/Boki
    SG-Tmac/Piatowaski
    PG-JJ/Lue/Gains

have tmac bring the ballup(jj doesnt have a good enough handle), and let jj guard the pg's.

u got a tall lineup that would make huge mismatches, and all can play great defense other then howard.

tmac avged 5.5 apg on the worst team in the leuage(no talent at all).

its better then overpaying for somebody.

You don't want to force your star SG to handle the ball. You just want him to score and play defense. It's much cheaper/easier to have some cheap role players to take care of the ball.

At this point, I honestly wouldn't mind just picking up somebody like Eric Williams to play small forward and let JJ pretend to be Ron Harper.

I don't think we want JJ bringing up the ball. Lue and Gaines will work for a year if we can't sign someone good. Is Gaines a PG or SG?

At first I thought this thread was going to be ludicrous, but I think by accident perhaps his lineup may not be all that bad. This is because Adrian Griffin is an extremely proficient ballhandler who IMO could easily bring the ball upcourt if need be. Whether he can play heavy minutes in a game or even last more than 5 games without getting injured is another matter though.

It's not impossible to put JJ at the point, provided that he trims down a bit. At 220 lbs, there's some weight to shed as typical big point guards weigh at around 200 lbs.
