Why do MJ fans get offended when (fan, analyst, coach, or player) doesn't mention him as #1- #5

Just like how our Rockets nearly took out the most amazingly talented super team ever put together with a 6 man rotation and end of 2nd round journeyman PJ Tucker starting at PF and Ariza who can barely dribble a basketball at SF? While Ryan Anderson makes 20 million on that roster.

PF's were trash? No. They were POWER forwards. Unlike today, they are just another small forward position. The one thing i can see your bias for is the everyday joe looking role player specialists that teams had back then. Yeah. I'll take those over having my roster filled with a bunch of athletes who were drafted just because of their athletic potential that can't specialize at anything on an actual basketball court. I'll take that slower guy who has to hustle and play hard every single play to keep food on his table over some spoiled guy who makes millions because he can do a 360 dunk but nothing else. But, let's also not pretend those guys don't exist today. The TJ McConnels of the world are alive and well on nearly every roster. And every now and then, they make an all star game - Korver '15. Construction worker JJ Barrea embarrassed LeGOAT on the biggest stage. White American role player specialists all just replaced by soft Euro role player 3 pt specialists.

People like you seem to think every single player on every single roster in the NBA today is LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, prime DRose, and John Wall..

Let Michael throw on some jeans and show these athletes what true artistry is without traveling and carrying the ball leading up to his dunk.

LBJ and KD can't even touch a 34 year old Michaels gray pubes.
A master at work in his mid 30s

Put prime athletic MJ in todays league....same one that existed without any of todays benefits and he still becomes the GOAT.

How can u not mention MJ in your top 5?? MJ is the undisputed GOAT. If u start trying to put all these different players ahead of him or even on the same tier as him, then just stop talking basketball, we don’t want to hear from u. The guy that has come the closest to MJ is Bron.

    Wow. Just wow.

Please turn in your basketball IQ card on your way out.

    PLEASE.

IIRC KD couldn't even win with a BEAST in Westbrook as his running mate. And his mental midget status on joining the Warriors and his fake Twitter account, move him QUICKLY to the back of the group of any player you listed.

I get opinions, but JEEEZUS, this is just (I won't even say).

He’s not a rockets fan or from Houston. He mentioned many times in his article of having no bias for any player. It’s just his formula happens to favor bigger all around players.

“Ben Hinson has worked in the real estate performance analytics, financial prime brokerage, banking, advertising and electronics industries, and has developed out-of-the-box analytical solutions and digital media strategies for Fortune 100 and 500 companies, including but not limited to JM Smucker’s, Bank of America, TEVA Pharmaceuticals, Heineken, CoverGirl, Morgan Stanley, LG Electronics and Mercedes Benz. In 2010 he founded Musings Press LLC. He is the creator of the Eteka series, the Around the World series, Gorgeous!™ Phone Cases, the GOAT (GT) Performance Index and Hickam’s Dictum.”

You have no clue. It is a LOT easier to play offense now than in those days because the rules have changed.

For years I was the biggest KD lover on this forum, but even I must admit he would have had a very difficult time playing in the late 80s, early 90s. People would have had an easy time knocking him out of his comfort zone. It was a real "contact sport" back then. Hand-checking, elbows, hacking, "mugging", the definition of a flagrant foul and other allowable physicality are hard for people like you comprehend.

Calling KD a better player than MJ is just ignorant (in the sense you don't know any better). With LeBron, there is a strong argument.

Man y'all are really sleeping on the talent KD has. You'll realize it some day.

I wouldn't take him over LeBron, probably not over MJ but there's a strong argument that he's a top 5 talent ever.

Durant is on the level of a Garnett, Nowitizki, or MAYBE Karl Malone. Best in the league for only 2 years, amazing at one skill and meh at everything else considering his body. There is no statistical argument that puts KD in the top 5, hell, I can argue that Stephen Curry has had a much better career, and he's even MORE one-dimensional than KD.

Yup. KD isn't even in Curry's level. Curry is the greatest shooter of all time, there is no arguement.

KD is a great scorer and not much else. And he's not even the greatest scorer, Curry can at least say he's the greatest shooter.
