It makes it all that more ironic considering Tsai is Taiwanese American.

Money, job, children, grandchildren, you bet people are going to fall in line. Do you expect everyone to be Muhammad Ali and give up everything? (The same Ali that was ROASTED by conservatives...)

Saying something is better than saying nothing, and caring more about the livelihood of your family, being a river to your family, doesn't mean that speaking out is simply virtue signaling. “The Turks pay me a golden treasure, and yet I am poor, because I am a river to my people!”

Also, If we are talking about negative consequences for speaking out, I suggest your read up on Kerr. Also important to note that Popovich served his country. So critique away Pop, you earned it.

There are plenty of American traitors, of all stripes and creeds.

We saw several thousands of them on Jan 6 alone.

Great quote from Anthony Quinn in David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia, channeling Auda Abu Tayi, an important tribal leader in the Arab Revolt during World War One. Kudos for the post.

The whole siding with the Hong Kong protestors over human rights abuses is not something that needs to be forgiven.
