Ariza came here last year. We will see.

btw, I believe Morey will land a star player this summer. Aagin, we have the best avialable assets in the league. Morey didn't do much on the draft night. I think he is saving all assets to do a S&T.

30 teams. usually not more then 1 true superstar ever on the free agent market. The odds say getting a superstar in unlikely.

Exactly. From this press conference on draft night:

My question is, when did they have the money available to bring in your pie in the sky player(s)? And since Shaq, who was the last big time player to leave via free agency that actually won something? You can say Artest, but we gave that one a try.

Since this is the first summer Daryl has had the assets and the want to bring in another superstar, I am going to hold off judgement until this summer is over.

Ariza was thought to be "quality". There were top teams that wanted him.

Your first mistake is that you regard Ben Gordon and Charlie V as "elite" free agents......

Your second mistake is pushing the CAPS LOCK button to make every post......which is almost as annoying as your posting style.

His third mistake was not throwing in a sarcastic smiley at the end for you.

I have to agree that the uncertain status of Yao is a major factor. Plus, Houston has a rep as being something of a "hard luck" sports city and it is barely inhabitable in the summer. For some reason, L.A., N.Y., Chicago, etc. have more of a mystique. I grew up in Galveston county, I am a UH grad, and I lived in Houston for ten years; I would never ever move back of my own free will. I still like to visit, but that is it. To be fair, I don't like cities in general. Too much congestion.

It is quite difficult to differentiate sarcasm from stupidity on the interwebs without a good old fashion sarcastic smiley.......

HOWEVER, THE CAPS LOCK IS STILL ANNOYING......

Doesn't Morey state he sees the people that he picks up as assets not players?

Wow. Carl, you always get them biting. You leave with a full creel every time. Is it talent or just a lively stream?

It really is quite impressive. Hats off to you sir.
