If the Rockets were interested in Ryan Anderson, then they might as well make a trade for Kyle Korver instead who is cheaper and likely easier to get considering how the Hawks are having a melt down.

Do you guys realize Butler will command 12-13mil/yr? At least. How are the Rockets going to get him and a few more shooters.

I think Milsap could be had for much cheaper and would complement DMO.

Doubtful. Hawks have a ton of cap space, know the cap will only be increasing further in upcoming years, and have a team that made it to the ECF with Milsap being a major piece. I'd be shocked if they don't retain him.

They're not. I don't know what some of the posters on here are smoking. The Rockets are not going to be players in the free agent market this summer. This offseason is about retaining Smith and Brewer, getting D-Mo healthy, developing Capela and Johnson, and figuring out what to do with Bev, T-Jones, and the 18th pick.

The Rockets will look internally this summer. Remember that the cost of a max free agent is Ariza, and I think he's become too important to this team.

My guess is the Rockets use a portion of the MLE to resign KJ. Something like a 3 year $6 million deal.

Assuming we don't trade the 32nd pick, that player will take a portion of the MLE.

I think Gentile comes over for 3 years $9 million (again....MLE)

Jimmy butler would be my 1st choice, but Chi is matching whatever he gets

Kevin Love, plus a solid D and D and 3 guy at point, plus a sharpshooter...

    If we're just spitballing :)

Kevin Love is and has always been Morey's primary target.

Not only a perfect fit for Moreyball but a star who might stick around because of Harden and McHale.

He's probably gettable, but the offer can't be b.s. Larsv8 spelled out how to come up with the cap space but sign and trade would be more likely.

But there's the rub. To match salaries? Papa would go, but would Ariza be part of the deal? Would KJ be trusted to step up in Ariza's absence? And which power forward would have to go? And if we lose the 18th pick....?

And will Llull come over (his real-or-false protestations notwithstanding)?

Or do we bolster the 1 with Lawson and go to war with Dmo at the 4?

Who are some realistic targets? I mean we are tapped on $ right?

I don't really care if Smith, Jones, Bev or Brew are back I want people who can hit a 3 and play decent D

Honestly, I was just thinking that. He's the odd man out with how Reggie Jackson played, and he really improved this year shooting and shot selection IQ-wise. Plus, being on a good team without all the pressure to create and score tends to cure some of that.

I could see Morey moving for him or Lance Stephenson. Morey loves a good undervalued player to take a chance on.
