No he's not. He's not a runner up MVP caliber player. He is not unguardable like Harden is.

Jimmy Bulter is an RFA. The Bulls will match any offer. Not even worth discussing.

    Stick with UFAs.

So are people saying to trade Ariza and then sign Butler?

Get some players that can hit 3pt shots when they're open. Maybe trade for Korver or someone like him.

Also, we need guys who are long term pieces who fit perfectly, not stop gap guys.

And the people who think we are constrained by cap space....I guess you just haven't been paying attention to who your GM is. A couple of easy minor stuff and you could have max space. Morey does this every year. He sets himself in position to be able to operate either below or above the cap.

No one. Morey needs to concern himself with resigning his own free agents. Then figure out who he can get by trading T-Jones and the 18th pick.

Not that simple. If Chicago fires Thibs, Butler may decide he wants to go. And he could force them to sign-and-trade him or let them go through a tumultuous 2016 season with Butler signing the 1-year tender.

This is going to be a crazy summer with several of these max free agents signing shorter term deals in order to reap the benefits of next summer's free agency and higher cap.

Butler is one player to watch. He's already gambled last summer by not signing an extension. With the upheaval in Chicago over Thibs I can see Butler being willing to forego a long-term deal and be unrestricted next summer.

I think we are close enough to go a number of ways. This player just needs to be a good second offensive option on the perimeter. I fully believe in DMO as our future PF so IMO we are just a good PG or SG away. My dream is Butler (allowing Harden to really play PG and guard the worst offensive option). Lawson is also a good scenario.
