If there were a nation=wide poll...Steve and Cat would probably be at the top.
But lately, we hear stuff like lets trade for Brent Barry...How did you like his audition friday night, he played 34 minutes, can you remember any of them? Or bench Cat for Juaquin Hawkins or bring in Jamal Crawford for the point and change Steves position.
    How about these stats?
    Jamal Crawford field goal % .372 asst 3.1 reb 1.9 ppg 5.9
    Moochie Norris ................ .379 asst 2,2 reb 2.8 ppg 4.27
    Juaquin Hawkins ................ .385 asst 1.8 reb 3.1 ppg 4.87
Even Moochie with his horrible start compares with that. We have one of the best guard duos around,,why change it.
If you dont like Steve and Cat,,you tell me a guard duo whos better......

Heh, with Yao's super passing and good field goal percentage, this would actually qualify as a legit contender :)

Grant Hill(but you can put anyone here)/T-Mac
    Kobe/Anyone
    Marbury/Penny
Stackhouse/Jordan (They go to this a lot)
    Snow/Iverson
    Right now, Nash/Finley
Cassell/Allen (SOME might say, again, not me)
    Future: Arenas/Richardson

Personally, I rank us top 2, or 3 at worst. But some people could make very good cases for some of those backcourts.

If we had last year's Mobley (shooting-wise), there would be no debate. But Mobley's production dipped this season, and some people are putting him in trade rumours, which, unfortunately, naturally brings a player's value down.

What people are saying is that, maybe, there's a better complement for Francis. A common analogy is Snow for Iverson.

I do, personally, think Crawford could develop into a great 3rd guard for us. Off the bench, he could backup both guard spots. He has the size, athleticism, and a shot at least equal to Moochie's. More potential on D as well. But I stick to Mobley at the 2 spot, unless we can net someone who is:

    - Barely less of a scorer
    - A clearly better defender
    - A clearly better passer
    - Clearly a smarter player
    - Can hit the 3 like Mobley did last season

Good luck finding someone like that who plays as hard as Mobley, with the same contract. Don't tell me Barry is the same scorer as Mobley, or a clearly better defender. Mobley is as good on D, and 10 times the offensive player (barring 3-pters).
