Sure, the Seahawks are off to a slow start this year, but Wilson has been the most successful mobile QB of the modern era. Bevell was singlehandedly responsible for scouting Wilson out of Wisconsin and developing him into a Super bowl winning QB.

Bevell would be perfect candidate to develop Watson in the same mold especially since we have a solid defense to carry us like Seahawks during their big run.

Also, Bevell has yet to become an NFL head coach so I don't see how he's a retread? By you logic, the great Bill Belichick who failed in Cleveland his first time around should have never been given the Patriots job.

    Bill O'Brien.

Not the sexy answer but he is a good coach and I prefer Deshaun not change offensive systems in back to back years.

Clearly to me today that O'brien can create a good offense with Deshaun. He also showed great improvement from one game to the next and its clear the Texans coaches are doing a good job with him.

Is he also single-handedly responsible for his regression then too?

The Seahawks offense, with Wilson, looks much worse today and last year than it did when they won the SB.

At one point, Belichick was considered the best defensive coordinator in football... having taken down the Montana 49ers and Kelly no-huddle Bills. He had a tremendous team in Cleveland before they announce the move to Baltimore, and most in the know realize he had built something that was worth it.

Bevell doesn’t have that same reputation... and he’s currently on a Greg Roman-like track.... but I suppose he could be closer to the next Kubiak, which isn’t bad, but still is more of a lateral move.

    No he isn't.

He had no business making the playoffs the last few years.

Did a good enough job to beat the Patriots today.

    No, he is garbage.

The offense has gotten worse every year under him.

    He is a mediocre leader.

    He sucks.

Most NFL head coaches that don't go deep in the playoffs within 4-5 years will be deemed garbage, regardless of whether or not they truly are.

Kubiak was deemed garbage and a half.

The last NFL head coach debut that anybody was truly impressed by was.....?
