    No to cowher, really overrated

Sumlin or Kyle shannahan. I think the transition to a new offense might be too much to turn this team around quickly. The texans offense was at its best with Kyle as OC. He has more balls than kubes, if he can find a QB, he could potentially bring this team back next season

Better have a good/great defensive coordinator if you want Sumlin. Not sure about him.

Cowher, meh. Don't really care for him anymore.

I don't think it will necessarily happen now, but it will happen. I think there are zero excuses at this point. The defense was atrocious early on, so they brought in Phillips. Team went as far as it could since then under this staff.

Yes this team has holes, but has more than enough talent to succeed. It begins and ends with the coaching. "it's on me John" yes, yes Gary it truly is. Step into my office, you're fired.

    He's not an Aggie. He's a Boilermaker.

Bet if you asked him today he would say he's an Aggie

Haha, everything you say makes sense and I agree, but I'm trying to look at this through Bob's view. The leash is long with Bob and can always find a way to spin things.

I agree he won't be fired during the season.
I agree there are zero excuses. (But don't be fooled, Bob has excuses up his sleeve for why the Texans underachieved or didn't accomplish what they wanted.)
I agree, this team has hit the ceiling and has gone as far as it could with the current QB/coach(es).

As much as people want Schaub out/gone(and understandably so), I hope he comes back from whatever this injury is. That's a very easy excuse for Bob if Schaub is out a period of time.

"We had injuries blah blah blah." Brings everyone back.
"We were so close blah blah blah." Brings everyone back.
"We'll correct the mistakes and get after it again next year." Brings everyone back.

A superbowl winning coach is overrated but Sumlin isn't?

Gruden, Cowher, Sumlin, Saban, Shaw - these are all the same coaches that have been suggested for the Longhorns. It's amazing the parallels between these two programs. Potentially two dead coaches walking, coaches that coach scared, QB's that are a disaster, etc.

Maybe, but with that said, I think Bob has seen enough of this team together. Schaub could be out for the season and I still think he's seen enough.

Yes Bob has been more than understanding with this regime, but even he knows when it's time. I really believe this is it and Bob not only knows it, but acts on it. Just a hunch.

Kubiak hired Rick Smith. He's a figure head that's basically just the liason between the owners and the head coach... a patsy that does what Kubiak wants, and gives contracts that ownership approves.

Smith will not outlast this regime.

Cowher has zero interest in coaching, so you should probably just forget about him. We've already seen that Saban's methods don't work on the NFL level. My guess is that when next season rolls around, Kubiak is our coach.

Except the Longhorns back up QB is actually better than the starter!

Why not Mike Sherman? He has won a Super Bowl, players respond to him and he is a good evaluator of talent.

No head coach has ever won a Super Bowl with two different teams.

McNair will have to bring in a new VP/GM to make the hire... similarly when he brought in Dan Reeves as a consultant which led to hiring Kubiak, who then hired Rick Smith to be his puppet GM.
