Blame for what. This team was never built to even make the playoffs. It was a hope they had IF players like Patterson especially could take that next step, or for a midseason trade that can get them that guy. The trades never happened, and the wrong guys took leaps forward. Even though it was nice to have Gogi & Parsons to be guys who took their games up it still hasn't been a post player which is what this team NEEDS to win basketball games down the stretch.

Yeah. What this thread is for what is the problem. Is it the players? Where they mess up during plays or don't have a good enough team to ever make it to the Finals again? Or is it the staff? Is it where the trades they make, the plays they do, or substitutions they do is the problem?
It's so easy to say both, but I have to go with the players... especially after that pathetic effort they put forth tonight.
Les for wasting all this time being mediocre. Now we lose two lottery picks just so we can get swept by OKC in the first round. Fun. We are officially the 2007 Houston Astros.
Was gonna make a thread about this but stopped myself: What do you guys do to release frustration after the rox lose?
The truth is this is a rebuilding team that overshot their abilities this year. -Morey has had a hard time bringing in talented post players so thats on him. -McHale had an offensive system setup for a dominant big man from the start of the season, and hasnt shifted the style of play enough to fit his players. -The Players have shown poor mental toughness down the stretch in important games. Also most of the players have not bought in at the defensive end of the court enough to truly compete in a playoff type of game. -Les is to blame partially for forcing the Dalembert signing. -Lastly the fans are def. to blame for poor fan support this year. I understand its a frustrated fan base, but small market teams, even the bad ones make Houston look really really aweful.
