I sitll think Jason Terry would be the perfect fit for us at PG right now. Somehow get rid of Rafer and have Terry starting for us and Mike James coming off the bench? Now that's what I'm talking about. :)

Sam Cassell?? doesnt the former rocket avg the most against us as an opponent? but i still dont see him as a killer. more then anyone else right now, i would have to say jason terry. playin against us it seems like hes shootin lights out everytime, but against other teams, i dont see him breakin out for 25-30pts games like he does against us.

Yeah the refs allowing Karl to run his North Carolina 1-3-1 zone on Hakeem used to make me scream bloody murder. I wonder why now that zone defense is legal he doesnt use it especially seeing as how everyone talks about what a horrible defensive team the Nuggets are.

George Karl was the Olajuwon killer. He had that defensive scheme down to an art.

    I'm with you.

Basketball Reference has pretty good stat-keeping:

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/fishede01.html

Go to splits. You have to look by season (splits drop down menu), instead of by career, but if you go back through Fish's seasons, he is definitely NOT randomly better against the Rockets than anyone else. Heck, Boozer didn't really do that great against us last year, either, relative to how he did against the rest of the teams.

Of course, stats don't tell everything. I mean, Jason Terry seems to be a clear obvious choice, but he played worst against us than any other team in the league last year: SPLITS
But in 04/05 he played pretty well against us.

I briefly looked through some historical players, too. I think, at the end of the day, it really changes season to season, and its really those key playoff series which leave the most lasting memories (Terry, Boozer last year, Stockton/Malone, all the Sonics, etc.), even though if you look at their splits throughout the seasons, they don't seem to always play better against the Rockets like it seems...

I remember back in the late 90s whenever we played the Heat with Tim Hardaway and Mourning, it was never a good night. By that time though, I'm pretty sure Hakeem was on the downside of his career and we had dildos on our unis.

What ever happened to Dino Rajah for the Celts?

Also, Kermit Washington, the literal killer, Rudy's nightmare. Oh hell, just don't make him mad!
