I would draft Vince Young over anyone else.

The guy is a freakish athlete, and his QB and leadership skills are off the chart.

Lienert is good, but he may be a lot like Joey Harrington, or David Carr, or Ryan Leach or he could be the next Payton Manning......you just never know what you are going to get.

Vince Young is the next John Elway............

HAHA, Vince is making some real tough throws! Come on he is nowhere near olson or leinart in passing ability!

The poll is clear, Who is the better QB and who has the brighter future? I did not ask who is the better college player! You are just mad because the answer is clear for this question and it is not vince young.

No he's "mad" because the question is contradictory. There are 2 separate questions in the title:

1 - Who is the better QB?
2 - Who has the brighter future?

That's not one question. Who's better now and who's better 5 years from now are different issues.

Not to mention a 3rd question in the actual text of the post. Who's a better prospect?

That sounds like a classic moment!!! I think John Elway just spit up all over himself and then threw up on his superbowl rings.

This has to be a joke. I'm going to reserve saying anything else because there's no possible way this can be a serious comment. Please tell us you're kidding so we can move on (I apologize for not recognizing the obvious but with some comments that have been made you never know).

I don't remember Leach and its PEYTON!

I Agree though Young is the next Elway and Mcneal will be better than Brady!

David carr is the next Johnny Unitas (actually one could argue now that they have similar talent).

I agree. He would be best in a strong defense/running team (but then what QB is not). I don't see Leinhart lasting past the 5th pick so most likely he will not be around when NO, Detroit & Arizona pick.

Darn it, the one day I miss PTI. Was he on the 5 Good Minute segment? What else did he say?

Da-Glyde: Ya, he's from Houston, Madison High School.

i saw him play in high school. easily the most impressive high school athlete i've ever seen.

having said that..my father, who has seen a lot more hs football than i have, says craig james was the best high school football player ever. still houston's scoring leader, and he never played in a 4th quarter, because stratford was beating everyone so badly that he was pulled. averaged 9.9 yards a carry. ridiculous.

I just went through both Leinart's and Young's games for the 2005 season.

Completions 20 yards or more by Leinart in 2005 (so far):
    Hawaii - 6
    Arkansas - 7
    Oregon - 3
    Arizona St - 3
    Arizona - 4
    Notre Dame - 4
    Washington - 3
    Wash St - 4
    Stanford - 2
    California - 2
    Fresno St - 1
    TOTAL - 39

    Season passing: 233/351, 3,235 yds, 24 TDs, 7 INT

Completions 20 yards or more by Young in 2005 (so far):
    LA-Lafayette - 2
    Ohio State - 5
    Rice - 2
    Missouri - 5
    Oklahoma - 5
    Colorado - 5
    Texas Tech - 4
    Oklahoma St. - 6
    Baylor - 6
    Kansas - 5
    Texas A&M - 3
    TOTAL - 48

    Season passing: 169/279, 2,576 yds, 23 TDs, 9 INT

Rather than having diarrhea of the mouth over and over again, try using the internets to back up your "facts."

Now, go sit in the corner with bigtexx.

pfft, "completions over 20 yards" is a pretty absurd stat. If this poll weren't on a Texas based website, it would be 90-10 Leinart, which is consistent with how NFL scouts project the two based on mock drafts...

Here's some stats that don't lie: 2 MNCs and a Heisman. Until Vince can win either of those, this discussion is purely a bunch of sunshine pumping horn fans stroking themselves.
