That list just shows how weak the 4 is in today's game. All except Duncan and KG are behind the following... either undersized or scared of physical play or afraid to D up tough:

    Thorpe
    Cowens
    Barkely
    McHale
    Kemp
    Malone
    Lucas
    Issel
    McGinnis
    Hayes
    Sikma
    Williams
    Sampson
    Nance
    Cummings
    Chambers
    Rodman
    Willis
    Coleman
    Horace Grant
    Truck Robinson
    Roundfield
    Ruland
    Cage
    A.C. Green
    Larry Johnson
    Vin Baker
    Webber

Most of these guys wouldn't allow Dirk any easy shots and would show him what a flop really is...

Right now I would rate them

    1. Kevin Garnett
    2. Tim Duncan
    3. Elton Brand (when healthy)
    4. Amare Stoudemire
    5. Carlos Boozer
    6. Chris Bosh
    7. Rasheed Wallace
    8. Antawn Jamison
    9. Other
    10. dirk - he puts the words "Power" and "forward" to shame. He should have his own position. Something like "Fall backward".

haha are you kidding? duncan's been known more as a PF than a C his entire career...why do you think everyone on tv always says duncan's one of the best PF's of all time?

being able to fit into any system means you are versatile but not necessarily the best at your position. tim duncan is still the best PF in the game right now.

mchale: his post moves were awesome, plus scoring ability

I like Amare on the offensive end and KG or Rasheed on the defensive end.

If I had to pick one, probably Garnett. I'll probably switch to Duncan once he starts his annual domination of the postseason.

Malone was never really a low post guy. More a guy who ran the court well and was great at the pick and roll.

At his prime I would take barkley, he was a beast even if he didn't play D.

I think TD is better than both.

man Jamison does not get a whole lot of credit but he is outstanding. great jump shooter and rebounder. 6'10''. I would put him near the top. prolly KG, Duncan, then Jamison. im not saying that i wouldnt want any of the others but i think jamison is an amazing complimentary player.

No way! He got over half his career points shooting jumpers or at the line. The other half being directly attributed to John Stockton.

Duncan has 2 more rings than all three guys combined.

    McHale was actually a good defender. He was a 5 time All-Defense (1st) and 3 time All-Defense (2nd) teamer

I still say Duncan was a better player than McHale.

jamison doesn't have a power game and shouldn't be in this discussion, i agree.

but the wizards have actually done quite decently this year, considering their best player hasn't played all year and they also miss butler for quite some time though in the east.

malone is the dirtiest player ever, so i'm biased against him. plus if you take away stockton, one of the greatest pg ever, i doubt how much he'd have been able to do.

barkley has had people overwhelmed about him being under-sized. he's clearly under duncan imo.

same goes to mchale. his footwork is truly amazing, and that i think gets people overwhelmed as well. if he is the greatest pf ever, then we'd remember the great celts teams with his image popping up in our minds first. but that clearly is not the case.
