Great point. I like him as a scoring forward off the bench too. He needs more plays run for him on the block and around the elbow... Looking more and more like our 6th man.

I totally agree with you. The coaching staff and FO decided to pick up his option, so it should be obvious to everyone that he has potential. In the rotation is OK by me, and every team needs a strong bench.

He won't abuse small forwards as much as he would PFs since he wouldn't have that speed advantage. He wouldn't be able to get to the line as easily, and his perimeter shooting is nothing special for a SF. I want him driving to the basket against the slow PFs. Get some FTs, AND-1s while still making PFs respect his perimeter shot.

Parsons is playing fine, hes at least a contributor. I feel Patterson has done more harm than good for the team, but mostly hes just done very little. Shot blocking, nope. Rebounding, nope. 3 point shooting, have to be completely open and its still a bad % play. Setting screens? Not really. Driving to the net? Zilch. The guy is a floater out there with a few good open baskets.

I like either Morris or TJones in the starting lineup over Pat. There's got to be some balance in the frontcourt. Right now it's 3 defensive-driven guys in Asik,Pat, and Parsons. Having someone with offensive potential is a must. Insert Morris or Jones.

I kept saying that entering the NBA during a lockout season will be hard on some rookies, that he needed more time to develop but people kept hating and calling him trash.

Good to see the team getting a return on its investment, that that first rounder wasn't wasted. Still would like to see him coming off the bench for offense. The team has too much other intriguing PF talent that we need to find out about. They need playing time. Even if none of them pan out, the team's next big trade acquisition would likely be a PF, and Morris would still look good as a sixth man-scorer-backup for both forward positions.

You need a third scorer out there...if not Morris, then Jones, but PP/asik/parsons aren't scaring anyone offensively and Lin isn't good enough to just take it to people one on one.

We will just have to agree to disagree. Marcus has always had a fantastic first step, and he knows how to use his size just as well as his speed. I think he would be extremely effective posting up smaller 3's. Carmelo is not much of a special shooter either. That said, I like him as a 4 too, especially If he keeps up the great rebounding. I think the end goal though, is to develop Marcus as a small forward. He is making great strides...

I totally agree on your Patterson assessment.

Glad to see the faith I've had in Morris needing minutes and being able to contribute wasn't just blind optimism.

His success makes things messy for the other PFs we have on the team but I am glad he is contributing.

Can't tell if you're sarcastic or not but I see it, I mean you gotta squint a bit BUT Marcus has got a decent shot, nose for the ball, uses his large frame and slightly above average athleticism well on defense. I don't know if its his NBA conditioning but if he gets used to the game (dudes only played this year, can't even count last year) at this level and still takes what he's shown flashes of (the crashing of the boards, defense, and unselfishness ) I'd like to have him start. Imagine him, Jones and Asik. That's nasty for defense

I didn't trust him. Now I admit I'm mistaken. 6th man of the year!

I feel like he is the perfect candidate for instant offence by the 6th man. He has flourished in this role already and is looking good. If he is playing well, then he can finish the game.

He's always been good it's McHale that's screwing up... If these guys were playing for San Antonio they would be developed a heck of a lot better. This is what ticks you off the most about the rockets these days.

I agree, Morris is 6' 7" and 230lb. He has the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket, and he has 3pt range. He said that during training camp they were using him at the 3 more than the 4. With the Huge glut of power forwards on our team, I would like to see Morris focus on being a scoring 3.

I'm happy about it. He creates his own shot sometimes, scores a little bit. He plays defense and is usually out ahead on the break. I like all of that. He just needs to keep developing. A good 6th man

He's a solid bench scorer. Best off when he can clear out and go 1 on 1. I don't like watching him play...but he's nice to have at his contract level as an 8th man or so who can occasionally put up 15-20 points.
