Not to beat a dead horse, but a couple of years ago in KC, Crenell went with Dontari Poe, who had a lot of the same question marks as Hageman, only more do. That seemed to work out OK.

From what I know of Crenell, I bet he really likes the idea of getting his hands on Hageman, and having a chance to coach him up. Whether that carries any weight with BOB or Rick Smith, I don't know.

Jernigan and Ealy are very talented, but neither fits in a two gap scheme AT ALL. I heard people trying to suggest Ealy would be better as an OLB in a 3-4 than a DE, but that would probably work out as well as it did for a certain. DE from LSU last year.

With respect to Nix and Cyrus Kouandijo (?), both of them have medical issues with different teams coming to different conclusions. We don't know how the Texans evaluated them in that regard. Both could conceivably have red flags knocking them off the Texans' board all together.

Couldn't agree more. Our front seven would be set for the 5 years

i think Lee's value is too high to pass up at 2.1

he could be very very good.

    nix would be nice though.

I would trade down or take Tuitt. He could immediately take over Antonio Smith's spot, play him at DE in base defense and then move him inside in nickel. He had a lot of sacks in college so he's a legitimate pass rush threat as we'll.

I think we either go OT, QB, or trade down. I could see us grabbing someone like Tuitt or Lee just based on value though.

If they don't go QB . . . .solidify the Trenchs
Solidify the offensive and or defensive lines

A ****ty QB with protection will serve this year
    over
a Decent QB with no protection

I have a suspicion that we are going to end up with one of the 'tools' project guys several rounds later on, specifically Savage or Logan Thomas. That would fit with the idea that the only 1st round QB they were interested in was Bortles. It kind of speaks to a hubris of BOB thinking he can take a lump of coal and turn it into a diamond.

He had a lackluster combine and ran slow.

Agreed, and I'd like him on the Texans, I was just explaining why he is falling down draft charts.

So they draft a DE and expect him to play OLB. Then they should draft an OLB and expect him to play ILB. What's next? Draft Mettenberger to play TE?
