It truly was a toss-up. Amazing dunks by both guys.

But in regards to originality, search around YouTube... lots of amateurs were already doing these dunks.

As a UA guy I'm biased, but AARON GORDON for sure.

I'm glad they tied so many times because the last one by LaVine really sealed it. What ruined it for me was the fact they didn't turn lights off or dim it at least but mainly, the freaking commentary. Even during the run these guys would talk about college basketball and just argue about dumb ****. There were like 4-5 guys talking at one point: Kenny, Chuck, Hart, Harlan & Reggie..

Gordan by a hair for me. Lavine does have longer hang time in air to leave a better real time impression.

Just saw the sports science on how Aaron Gordons hangtime is longer than Jordan's free throw line dunk and then they talk about how the force he used to push down on the ball helped him get higher and stay in the air longer. Weak. That's everything this era. Cheap props and cheating.

And why is LaVine's between the legs still called the free throw line dunk? He was over a full foot inside the line.
This one was further than LaVines and he had a couple behind the line without between the legs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR2XFpaoOxo

Why is there no Curry option for the poll?

Gordon all the way. Jumping one step inside the FT line over and over is boring and should never be given good numbers because it's old and has been done too many times.

Gordon Gordon gordon GORDON. Best dunks since Vince Carter.

That was still the furthest someone has done between the legs in the NBA

James White is probably the best one legged dunker of all time in terms of distance

Yeah too bad he was already over 30 when he failed in the NBA dunk contest. He would have destroyed it if he was in his athletic prime.

Nah man, i just don't care for silly props compared to real no nonsense dunks. Using a player or person usually results in what i consider cheating. They either use the props shoulder to get themselves higher or in Gordons case he was still amazingly high but used the downward pressure on the mascot holding the ball to push himself up higher and stay in the air longer to do that dunk. Still awesome, but it's not what i like to see. Give me VC, JRich, Nique and MJ doing real dunks with power and finesse over all these dudes today that just get up high and come back down and just drop the ball in. Most dont even grab onto the rim anymore. Its all finesse and they still dont have the mid air posture that the greats had.
