Who can we realistically trade for Ariza if he doesn't get bought out?

I was replying to the guy suggesting we used Brandon Knight in the trade but forgot to quote.

Who was our backup PG last season when we happen to stumble into 65 wins? The idea is to play PG and JH 48 minutes at point.(provided they are healthy)

clearly thats not working. our main problem is depth not our starting lineup.

Knight to Cleveland, JR Smith to Phoenix, Ariza to Houston. We would probably have to throw in a pick of some sort.

We literally can't get better at PG and SG because Paul, Harden and Gordon are an all world rotation at the guard spots. 96 minutes of Harden, Paul and Gordon are the reason why we were successful. There isnt' another team in the NBA with that kind of talent at the 1 and 2.

Our rotation at the 5 is fine imo. Capela and old Nene are a competent combo. Maybe not best in the NBA but definitely above average.

HOWEVER, where we are currently lacking is at the 3 and 4 spot. Tucker, Clark,Green and House are probably the worst forward rotation in the league.

With Ariza, our depth at the 3 improves because it bumps James Ennis from starter to backup. Our depth at the 4 improves because we no longer have to rely on dleague talents like House or Clark to play backup PF. We go from worst in the nba to middle of the pack. Thats a huge improvement.

plenty of teams have talent out there. that's literally the deepest portion of the lineup in this era of the league

Well we're talking about the reigning league MVP and 2 borderline allstars. Thats pretty darn good. Which team has a better guard rotation than us?

Cool thing, but does the guard rotation win ships or the whole team plus coach and GM?

CP3 is getting older, Eric Gordon is getting streakier. Harden is still turnover prone and has bad games.

Unfortunately we're employing dleague talents at the other spots. We signed an undrafted dude off the street who recently got cut by the friggin Phoenix Suns and he logged 30+ minutes for us the next night. That tells you everything you need to know about our depth at the wing. I like House but if he plays heavy minute, something is not right.

Also James Ennis is probably the worst starting SF in the nba. He is small and slim, gets bodied and outclassed on a nightly basis. Also I'm SHOCKED he is shooting 36% from 3 with that form of his. I've never seen anybody airball as many open 3s as he does. Small sample size is the reason why his 3point is statistically as good as it is. Given more time, i expect him to be shooting sub 33% on open 3s. But its not his fault. You pick somebody from the garbage bin ,as Morey is so proud to do, you get garbage. Dude is garbage.

You can probably find a better SF rotation in Europe somewhere than what we got.

id say GS is pretty talented for 1. Okc has some talented guys back there. Boston has very talented pieces. Toronto. philly.

atm none of the guard rotation here playing is anywhere near the likes what they need to be or as good as many of these other teams

Agreed. Either Capela starts creating his own shot and we sign a Melo Light but with better Defense and better three point shot, or we stay this way.
