It's hard to choose a favorite Whitney Houston song so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album. RIP
80s the greatest year in music. Her musics brought some good memories back during middle school. Too bad she hangs out with the wrong crowds.
One of the true divas of music. Her most vocally powerful songs were I Have Nothing, Run to You and Greatest Love of All. Her most famous song is I Will Always Love You. Her other songs weren't too shabby either.
I always hoped that she would somehow get back on track. I'm blown away. Her national anthem always moved me to tears.
Did you know that Whitney Houston's debut LP, called simply Whitney Houston, had four number one singles on it?
you and i are about the same age. i never realized at the time how popular that song was. all i think is sexual chocolate when i hear it. yeah, she was young, a lot of people don't realize she was so young when she blew up, only 21. now that's old for the disney, back then it was pretty young
Poor Ms Houston. To hit it big at 21 is probably like some professional athletes. That sort of success makes it triply hard to go through middle age, I would bet. You're just looking for that same on-top-of-the-world feeling all the time. Ugh. Don't expect the truth of this story to look very nice.

I admit I haven't kept up with her since elementary when I Will Always Love You was the shiznit (and still is IMO). So basically Bobby Brown (King of RnB) was a big influence on her drug use and rapidly declining health? I only remember last decade when she did that interview with Bobby Brown and she was skinny as hell. That was sad to see and a surprise... and then Jamie Foxx did a segment on her in his stand up years ago. Her songs were all over the radio today here, and it was raining too... kind of had that sad feeling going on while on the road.
Kind of surreal that celebrities were hobnobbing at Clive Davis' pre- Grammy party while her dead body remained in the same building.... I am talking hours after her death the Beverly Hilton was business as usual
