White guy wins election after pretending to be black- Houston TX

It's an age old, universally accepted accommodation made by both parties in every state for decades to ensure the existence of black congressional representatives. The resulting companion GOP districts are a well known and indirect compromise.

 

The house has been taken over by tea partiers through the help of tom delay who went to jail for his role. Not compromise

 

I don't know if it has been mentioned but party affiliation isn't listed on the ballot
