The two players selected would be in their prime. They would be added to the current roster. There is no minimum tenure that the players must have to be selected.

I am sure Hakeem will be in most respondents answers, but my two consist of

    Yao Ming and Tracy Mcgrady

I would have loved for Yao to get a ring, and although I don't think T-Mac deserves a Ring, him in his prime at the SF spot would make us unstoppable.

    Lowry
    Martin
    McGrady
    Scola
    Ming

Please feel free to give explantions

Funny, you want to get Yao a ring, pair him with Hakeem. I don't care what positions they play, Hakeem will get you a ring before Tracy and Yao would. Trust me, I know. ;)

    Hakeem and Clyde.

    Lowry/Dragic
    Martin/Lee
    Drexler/Morris
    Scola/Patterson
    Hakeem/Hayes

    Donatas/Bud round out final 12.

Hakeem and Yao. Dream because he is the greatest in history. Yao and Dream because they are real Rockets.

There are a few greats in Rockets history such as Clyde, Mcgrady, Barkley, Moses Malone but those guys are not really true Rockets like Dream and Yao.

    Clyde - Blazer
    Mcgrady - Magic
    Barkely - 76er or Sun
    Malone - 76er

And I would of picked Yao and Hakeem, but that just wouldn't be fair, and Tracy would fill a bigger whole

    ???

uh, Yao only played 22 more games as a Rocket than Moses Malone.

Sure, Clyde was drafted by Portland, but he is more Houstonian than any Rockets player, ever! He and Hakeem were college teammates for christsakes. He is as true a Houston Rocket as any of them...Yao is a Houston Rock, compared to Clyde.

And Moses' first NBA team (technically Buffalo) was the Rockets. He played MORE GAMES for the Rockets than the 76'ers -- like two seasons more. He took us to the Finals.

    You are completely wrong.

    Scottie Pippen and Hakeem:

Scottie Pippen( as the OP stated" in his prime") would solve our problem at the SF. There is no better " complimentary 3" that Scottie Pippen. Plus, He's used to playing second fiddle.

Hakeem would be the " Alpha DOG" this teams needs. He greatly fills our most needed position. Our SUPERIOR shot blocking and rebounding.

With Lowry, Martin, and Scola rounding out the rest of the starting lineup, that team would be unstoppable.

( That salary would be ridiculous though)

Dream and Clyde, both healthy and in their prime, would have won championships like Godzilla scarfing down busloads full of nuns and boy scouts.
