    Then he's doing it wrong. Reverse jinx requires stating what you believe won't happen. For example: "There's no way the Rockets will make the playoffs this year. You heard it here first!"

    You don't bring up an event that you hope won't happen but say outwardly it will happen. That's just testing fate.
