I wrote down the first 9 names that came to my mind. There are way too many good QBs in this league.

It's kind of tricky with Matt Ryan...in a sense.

Over the last four seasons, he has more GWD/4QCs than any QB, but only has one playoff win. He's like stuck in between Tom Brady status and Tony Romo status, literally. Not quite as good as Brady, but better than Romo.

Eli is weirdly more clutch than Peyton or ringless since Spygate Tommy.

Co-signing...You speak the truth... Eli has about as many 4QCs/GWDs as Peyton, since 2007, but has six more 4QCs/GWDs than Brady. If you include the playoffs...Eli takes the whole cake.

Aaron Rodgers careerwise isnt good in 4th quarter comebacks. Brett Favre wasnt as good in them as his prestige would indicate. So whats "clutch" really mean?

I think "clutch" is less about who rises to the occassion with comeback magic (a-la Tim Tebow good in 4th quarter terd sandwich all other quarters) And its more about who doesnt CHOKE. If a game manager can stay game managing late, there's stil comeback chance. If they tighten up, thats when its bad.

    QBs you can trust (Examples)
    - Brees is a guy you can trust. He has that competitive fire in his belly
    - Eli is too wooden for a moment to even have effect on him.
    - Big Ben can lead a rally (except for his last Super Bowl)
    - Brady is this generation's Joe Montana with cool under fire (sorry, Peyton)

Kaepernick and RG3 I think are the new mold. I believe in mobile running QBs. The point of the game is to keep the chains moving. As boring as it is, a qb darting out of bounds just past the first down marker works just as good as any out pattern, rb dumpoff pass or screen play. It doesnt mean Mike Vick over Tom Brady. But it can mean Cam Newton over (yes) Matt Schaub.

*just talking 4th quarter 2 minute drill only* and its a wonder why Rodgers isnt better.

Matt Schaub with Gary Kubiak coaching. Take the 3 points and let our defense win the game.

I want to say this is big misconception about Rodgers, almost falling into what one could call the "Skip Bayless" Myths. Two reasons, more or less disprove such a notion or even not consider Rodgers isn't nowhere near failure as Bayless suggest (and even how some fans might think he's not clutch). Though, not quite as horrendously as Bayless does even comparing how he rather have Tebow over Rodgers in last 2 minutes of a game.

Two reasons that work against the argument... how often have you seen the Packers behind in the 4th Quarter for Aaron Rodgers to mount a comeback. I'd have to say not very often, because the Packers play ahead for more than not under Aaron Rodgers. Even when the Packers are behind, it's almost unfair to hold Rodgers completely responsible given that the Packers have had one of the more torch-able defenses over the last few years. It's kind of hard to accumulate comebacks when a defense performs in porous execution.

I agree with all that. (I don't listen to or watch ESPN). Didnt mean to make it like Rodgers in the 4th quarter all of a sudden turns into Jamarcus Russell. And the stats show that after Rodgers hits 30 passes, all his passes after that he just gets better and better. Rodgers doesnt have comeback accolades, but it doesnt necessarily mean you'd want to choose other QBs in that situation.

Its kinda like the "Big Shot Rob" Horry thing. He's proven to hit big shots, but you'd still want Hakeem or Kobe to take the last shots just because.

It was even just saying that "4th quarter comebacks" is kinda an overrated way to gauge a QB's OVERALL value. I listed QBs anyway to play along. My list wasn't really about who IS ACTUALLY good at comebacks. Its about who I'd choose as protypical example of "comeback QB", without the stats to back it up.
