Dwight needs a season with him, not a week with him, to try and hammer it in.

Working out with Hakeem for a week or two probably will take no one to the next level.

I would like to see DeMarcus Cousins go to Hakeem though. Not necessarily to improve his game, but more so to get a grip, i.e. becoming more mature and approaching the game the right way.

Best Answer: John Henson. I see a lot of raw hakeem in Henson's game.

I think the real benefit for the LBJ/Kobe types is the leadership/how to handle pressure/championship mentality/approach to basketball lessons Dream teaches. If someone goes to Dream and is only focused on improving their post moves, they'll be missing most of what he has to offer. The corollary to this is you have to be both an accomplished player and ready mentally for what Dream brings.

(Every Rockets' fan should read Dream's book.)

Olajuwon can only teach so much man. He excelled because of his footwork, whether God-given or soccer-inspired, then on top of that, it was all instinctual. Read-react-instinct. Lebron honestly might be the only guy getting his monies worth with Hakeem, and even then he's only tapping into what? 20% of what Olajuwon has to teach max?

These players should stop paying Hakeem to teach them things they'll never do. Instead they should sit down with Chuck Hayes and learn how to play defense. That you can teach.

Dream had crazy quickness for a big man. Some of the moves dream did required quickness that most players big and small just don't have.

Why do you all keep trying to revive DREAM in one of these losers? They will NEVER have the finesse, skill, ability, etc., that Akeem and then Hakeem had.

He can't help the current players be as good or even better than he was back then, and if they want to go to the next level they should help THEMSELVES. No one helped Olajuwon. They should learn on their own.

If the Dream does it purely as a favor someone young could take it up a notch or two, like a Mcgee or Omer, Dmo and even Tjones, moreso than one of those established names.

Not sure if this has been said yet, but EVERYONE could use an hour or two from Hakeem.

But I think Anthony Davis, under Hakeem's tutelage, could go pretty far into developing into a top 20 player.
