Right now probably Lamb, Jones, Motiejunas, Parsons, K-Mart.

K-Mart as an expiring contract elite scorer, the other four for great upside and low salary.

It think it's either Lamb or the Raptors pick.

Lamb was both projected and picked the highest, has arguably the highest upside of our rookies and is locked into a multi-year rookie deal.

The Raptors pick could end up being in the low-end of the top-10 and some teams just might not like/need Lamb, however there's also a chance that the Raps pick ends up #13, #14 or even worse non-lottery pick down the road.

I would say Motiejunas or the Toronto Pick.

-No disrespect to Lamb, but skilled 7 footers just dont grow on trees. The fact that he proved last year and this Summer that he can play should make him the most sought after asset the Rockets have until somebody else makes a name for themselves.

until the rookies show something in the league, it's:
    1. Rockets pick
    2. Toronto pick

Vacillating between Lamb and the Toronto pick. And, like with all trades, it depends on what the counterparty is looking for. I think the Toronto pick is riskier and the payoff is later on the calendar too. So, an established team is probably more likely to want Lamb as a good player with more upside potential than downside. The Toronto pick might turn into a much better player than Lamb, so a rebuilding team might gamble on it, but it could also turn out much much worse, depending on how Toronto plays, the luck of the lottery drawing, and all the factors going into building the next draft classes.

Motiejunas is perhaps somewhere between Lamb and the pick in the risk spectrum. Perhaps a higher ceiling than Lamb (being a big man), but also a lower floor (as a Euro trying to make the switch). But a more known quantity than taking a guess at what you'd get with a future pick.

as a sidenote: I feel that the whole idea that Euro draft picks are more likely to bust is a myth. i'd love someone to do some research / blog post or whatever on this.
I won't invest the time myself, but it would be interesting to know... it feels like college picks bust a ton. And especially in recent years.

Our pick might be higher than Toronto's, but we can't trade it while we have an obligation to the Nets, right? Doesn't that automatically make the Toronto pick higher in trade value?

    Based on what though?

Good point guards are a dime a dozen these days. There's wasn't a great market for Lin when he hit free agency, in fact the Rockets were the only team that went after him.
Now, you certainly can make the case that him being restricted and likely to be matched had something to do with it, however there were more than just a few reports of execs around the league still not being sold on Lin.

The Raptors for example prefered to trade their first rounder, which will likely end up being a lottery-pick, for Lowry instead of going after Lin. The Suns, in need of a PG went after Dragic, not Lin. The Kings, who thought about trading the #5 pick for Lowry and fillers were in need of an upgrade at PG, yet choose to use capspace on Jason Thompson, Aaron Brooks and James Johnson. The Mavs and Hornets both had the cap space to do so, yet both decided not to pursue Lin.

I'm not biased towards Lin in any way. I'll root for him just like any player and he very well might be the Rockets player with the most trade value soon. At this point however, I really don't see the case for him unless you put a premium on marketability and fan-attraction, which as popular as Lin is, I think still gets a bit overrated.

Toronto pick. Still don't understand why Orlando didn't value it highly also, if offered.

After that, it would be Lamb who IMO has the highest upside of anyone on the Rockets right now.
