I really feel for you guys. We went through this last season with Pau's buyout. It didn't quite last this long but I know with camp opening in the morning the frustration is high. However, don't worry Yao will be a Rocket and 5 years from now you guys can all laugh at the anxiety you experienced over Yao missing a month of camp.
yeah, it's not too bad cause we knew he'd miss half of the preseason from the minute we drafted him, but it sure would be nice to have him signed. hopefully by november we can look back and laugh at the whole situation.
wow, a post from MemphisX that isn't laughing at Rocket homerism. Strangely I'm not really concerned about it at all. It would take something really big to scare me right now, but this is about what I expected. It would have been nice to have him signed when he came to Indy, but oh well. btw I'm looking forward to seeing the Pau/Gooden duo. I think that'll be scary tandem, maybe not this year, but definitely in the future. Hopefully Gooden doesn't spend too much time on the pine in the beginning, I think he's going to be something special.
I like to think so, but Memphis is actually gettin together a pretty good team.(not better than the Rox tho) Yea Crisco, I was amazed also. Almost as amazed as when I saw a non-negative post from ZRB...I almost passed out from the shock!
I agree, I think Memphis is going to be the next Sacramento Kings, but I think they're going to be more balanced. It's ironic that they could be the next Kings and have Jason Williams running the point for them. Maybe this time he'll get it right.
I know this doesn't belong in this forum, but since we are on the subject, how will Memphis' line-up look now that they've added Gooden? Will they move Battier to the 2 spot, or keep Dickerson there starting, and have Shane as their 6th man? Will they move Gasol strictly to small foward and eventuall start Gooden at the power? Who will play center?
Memphis is a pretty good team. And since im from Memphis.. I dont think they have much props on the team but rather college ball (Memphis Tigers) is more popular than the NBA.But like the Rockets I think the Grizzlies are going to make a statement just not of a big improvement than the Rockets.
The Grizz are starting to put together an impressive team, however they won't be making any real noise until they get a more team oriented PG in place.

Impressive in the fact that their "talent" cannot produce wins (how did Pau impress more than Shareef?) or their talent leaves, "Francis" and "Bibby" with suckage in return. face it, that team sucks and always has. the only thing that sucks more is a Memphis fan trying to be cute by consoling us.
HP: I told you that if you don't either retrain that cat of yours or get rid of it ... it will keep peeing in your Wheaties.
