I still think they could benefit from a K. Mart deal for A. Jefferson. We get our center for now, who is familiar with and more importantly likes McHale. While they fill a need a SG. KG alllows them to move Hayward to SF where I think he is better suited and opens playing time for their young bigs.

They should be at the nearest cave trying to sign Chris Kaman.

I disagree and disagree strongly. Kaman is too old to help this club. By the time we stand a chance at being competitive again, he'll either be retired or riding out the last few years of his contract as an ineffective old guy sitting at the end of the bench. In the meantime, he'll be one of those guys that contributes to our now annual 14th pick in the draft. It's time to play the young guys - and if a player isn't young enough to still be good in 3-5 years - we don't need to sign them. They're just taking playing time from our young and developing guys.

I wonder why Asik is in LA if he plays for Chicago.

I know NBA players may not live where they play, but LA is on the other side of the country, from Chi-town.

Not sure if thread worthy or where to put this, but while those guys are likely backup plans, the Rockets are interested in Billups and possibly Gerald Wallace.
