1. Spurs - They got Aldridge and West- 2. Warriors - They won the ship 3 Thunder - Durant is gunning for that no 1 spot + they got kanter to fill in the middle 4 Clippers - We barely beat them last year and they got PP + Lance 5 Rockets - We were the no 2 seed, but we haven't really made any moves this year. 6 Mem - They didn't get any better 7 NO - Davis should get better 8 Kings - I don't who gets the 8 seed. With Dallas and Portland tanking the west should be a little easier this year.
phx and utah will be in the mix for that 8th seed. don't see anything different with sac so I'm not sure why people would put them in the playoff mix all of a sudden.
Players that can make us better in the playoffs next year. Beverley, DMo, Dekker, Harrell. That's four players that could be in our rotation next year that we didn't have in our playoff run this year. I'm optimistic.
1. Thunder - if and only if Durant stays healthy 2. Rockets - Hard to beat at full strength 3. Spurs - Their moves made them better, but father time is undefeated 4. Memphis - They've made some nice moves and are strong defensively 5. Clippers - Decent but beatable team 6. Warriors - Their fluke year is over. 7. NO - Anthony Davis is that good 8. Suns - because why not?
Heck, 2-6 may be a separated by about a game at the end of the season. Could see a lot of 57-25 records in the West.
Warriors 6th. Lel. They're not going to replicate the same success they had last year, but they're not going to have a sudden drop off.
If the whole league is healthy there is no reason we aren't top 3. 1.Warriors 2. Rockets 3. Spurs 4-5. Thunder/Clippers I'm sorry but we're a terrible matchup for the Spurs. At this point James is an official Spurs killer and they have no depth at the 5. Is Duncan really gonna be on Dwight the whole time. And good luck playing Aldridge at the 5. We also have the best defensive combo at the 3 in ariza/brewer. Harden is only getting better (even is some people think he hit his ceiling.) Were one PG or 6th man from being 1 in the west. I don't expect the Warriors to skip a beat and they'll probably end up #1 again.
Interesting... I thought the a and b race would be for 4th and 5th pplace in thunder or clippers. Damn the top is STACKED.
ive already pointed this out in previous threads on his belief of this dropoff from gsw. he seems to seriously believe it but won't tipjar bet to solidify it.
If last year proved anything it was that rankings mean so little in the West. Teams 2-6 will have a negligible difference in talent and performance. The difference will be injuries, luck and experience.
