Alrightee Clutchfans, We've had the opportunity to sleep on it and sober up... Simple question... where do we go from here? A) Move Harden - dude has again proven he does not have the mental fortitude to be the man on a championship team... He's fool's gold... let's move him to some other fool while we can still get a decent return... B) Kick MDA to the curb... regular season doesn't mean a thing when you run your guys into the ground and collapse in the playoffs... C) Morey has to go! Just another Morey mess based on his inability to understand people... D) Stay the course - this was only year 1 of the MDA era... let's continue to build on it! E) Clean house! Screw 'em all... Harden, MDA and Morey! They are all complicit in that **** show - and they all need to go...
Stay the course, but Morey has to build a team so talented that they can just overwhelm other teams like the Spurs. Can't rely on Harden elevating his teammates in the Playoffs, if anything, his teammates have to elevate him.
Personally, I'm torn... I think we over achieved this season... i looked on this as a 'getting acclimated' season due to the additions of MDA, EG, RA and Lou... If we were really trying to make a run we would've traded out some of the 'projects' on our bench for vets who have started to diminish - but would be great for spot minutes in a support role... but we didn't... leads me to view this as a work in progress... so on the one hand, i'd say lets continue to build... OTOH... there was NO excuse for that crap! These are professionals who get paid huge sums of money... and this wasn't simply shots not falling... this was total crap! I'd lean toward cleaning house... I honestly don't know... For me... i guess it would come down to A) What offers exist for Harden... B) Does MDA see the error of his ways - or is he going to continue to defend 7 man rotations, not using his bench and running guys into the ground? If so - bye! .....and Morey... Morey, Maury, Murray... I just dont know... Great numbers guy... but just can't seem to get the 'human factor' into the equation...
We were the 3rd best team regular season. Stay the course, but Harden needs to sit at least 10 games next season and Morey needs to add another play maker.
as much as i dont want them to they're gonna keep buidling around harden so they need to fin da 2nd option. hopefully they can trade ryan but i doubt they will. not cuz they cant find a taker, there's plenty, but cuz they're delusional about him. i'd trade harden and ryan. fire mda if there's a better coach, if not then keep him till u find one. retool, not rebuild, get a mix of young guys and vets and picks. stick with them for a few years assuming we can trade them for a superstar worth trying, then take it from there.
