The same team had the conference leaders in rushing yards, receiving yards, and sacks? Heck, when is the last time a team and two out of three of those? This is truly a special season.
In 2006, Tomlinson led the league in rushing and Merriman led the league in sacks for San Diego. Same thing for Ricky Williams and Jason Taylor for Miami in 2002. Same thing for Tiki Barber and Osi Umenyiora in 2005, except that it was only the NFC.
Thanks for that. I guess it sort of makes sense logically: good defense -> good team -> playing a lot with the lead -> more runs. The receiving/rushing combination I would have to think is even rarer since they compete against each other.
