When Lin signed with the Rockets, I googled it then. Lin not matched by Knicks, I officially check them out everyday with no miss since. Perhaps, me riding my bike to my uncle's house to watch Hakeem, elie, Horry and co. During 2 championship runs can be my earliest rockets memories. But never followed them that time. Too young to care. Lol.

Speaking of the 2013 NBA All Star Game, anybody go to the '89 one? How bout the '71 one? (which was in San Diego... The year they relocated, no less.)

When Olajuwon became a Rocket. Well, I did follow the Rockets toward the end of that fabulous year when Moses Malone took them to the finals.

I can remember watching the final game of the 1975 playoff series with New York on a small black and white TV at my grandparents' house, and being so happy that the Rockets beat the Knicks.

Best thread for a first post :)

My Rockets memories go back to the lock-out season in '99. I remember watching a sports news show with a friend, in which they said, Pippen would join Barkley and Olajuwon in Houston. That was kinda the moment, I chose my team. I knew only little about the NBA, but The Dream was already my favorite player in video games, so I started following results and news. First thing to do when I came home from school was checking out, if Houston played last night and how they did. Thanks to modern technology, this went easier each season, from reading game reports and box scores to watching summaries to even be able to follow a whole game today.

The first game I can remember was a playoff loss but my earliest memories usually center around watching the first championship win with my family. After that the celebration that followed, I was a fan for life.
