Clearly, 2-17 is not cutting it, but that's only one of his problems. Chase isn't getting to the line. He's 3-5 when he does. It's a small FT sample size, so I'm not worried about the percentage, just that he isn't drawing the fouls (Shane isn't either, btw!). He's also not rebounding like he needs to. He's grabbed 2 offensive rebounds in 5 games, which is, rather stunningly, one more than Martin. (ouch!) Chase is playing 20 minutes a game. We really need him to step up. Crash the boards, go hard to the hoop and draw some fouls. The dunks are great, but he's obviously still a work in progress. Budinger isn't the only one struggling, but the thread's about him. Time to step up, Bud!
Finally made his 3rd 3 out of 22 tries .... Seriously whats wrong with him? I thought Morey trade Ariza because he was dang sure he could do better than him .......... and plz dont say Ariza are 7-0 because of CP3 .... even without him, hes clearly a better player ..... Morey is overated ...... basketball is not based on calculation and based on whats look good on paper
He's a nice role/rotation player coming off the bench, but not starter material. While we might see gradual improvement over the years, I think we've essentially seen what type of player he is going to be at this level.
Tonight his defense wasn't good, he was abused by Thornton. And, if he isn't hitting his jump shots, it severely limits his utility on the offensive end. I don't think he deserved more minutes tonight. In general I agree with the idea of playing him more minutes, but tonight I didn't.
