Since there's the Lowry thread going around, I think Scola deserves one too. What do you guys think is going on with him?
Kevin McHale is not using him properly. If Luis doesn't get 15+ shots, there is no point having him out there. (And we won't win much...)
The secret Morey sauce he sprinkles on every guy he will trade to lower their value before he actually does trade them.
He's chillin. Barbequing with his family on the weekends and sometimes visits the Kemah Boardwalk and Galveston on weekends. Last weekend, he contemplated on getting a haircut. He also wants to know what's going on with you, jayhow92?
He never seems to run the PnR with Lowry anymore. Was getting a decent amount of points off of that (and Lowry was getting assists too).
Let them suck. But let them suck properly. Full tank mode. Dont go half stepping into the middle of the first round pick. Go all in and tank properly if you cant win enough to go to the playoffs.
Scola isn't even in games at the end anymore. Maybe Luis and Lowry heard from their agents that they're being traded for Deron Williams. They're playing like ***t these days.
Hey if you think they are gonna fix this deal where the Rockets get screwed by Stern on the deal for Gasol and some non Superstar having calls? Then make sure you do it back and grab hold of one of these high draft picks by returning the favor and gaming the draft system. Make sure you get a few high picks. Dont be ashamed. The NBA makes no shame in their motives to promote superteams and certain franchises. Rockets should look out for themselves and tank to the top picks of this draft.
In fact do it openly. I dont care if you mandate our coach to tank and have it look like it. The league cant do nothing about it except hold a lottery. Which according to them shouldnt be fixed right?
The weird part is he started off this season well and Kmart was the one doing badly. When Kmart started playing well after complaining about not getting the type of shots he was comfortable with it was the same time Luis started to struggle.
He's a rhythm player. the way he's being used doesn't allow him to build a rhythm...but that probably shouldn't excuse his lack of rebounding and turning the ball over.
He could have used some rest this summer. Instead, he chose to play for Argentina coming off knee surgery. I would trade Scola and Hill for Kaman in a heartbeat.
