I didn't care what the record would be before, but now I want to finish above .500 or even chase playoffs. JUST so JJ gets thrown in mvp discussions.
watt should really win the mvp. the league needs a wholesome face. after all the scandals, does the nfl really want a thug like peyton manning who taunts and curses at safeties after he scores a Td?
I think they have a much better shot at the wildcard card. Indy's schedule was front loaded. This is what they have to go: vs Jacksonville vs Washington @ Cleveland vs Houston @ Dallas @ Tennessee They could easily win 5 of their next 6. At least 4 out of 6. The tie breaking doesn't help the Texans either. The Texans won their two inter-conference non-AFC north games while Indy lost theirs. That means Indy is guaranteed to finish with a higher win % in common games. This assumes that Houston beats Indy in Indy, both Houston and Indy sweep Tennessee and Jacksonville and the tie breaker comes down to winning % in common games.
I think to make the playoffs, we're going to have to win the division. Too many other teams still in the WC hunt. Still think we'll be on the outside looking in when it's all said and done, but I think we are still on schedule. Nothing wrong with going from 2-14 to 8-8 or even 9-7 in one season. Remember....last year at this time, we were riding an 8-game losing streak. Now, we're talking about our (albeit slim) chances of winning the division. Have some faith, people!
Basically just that either the Texans need to win out, or the Colts need to fall off and lose games they should win in order for the Texans to win the division. The tiebreakers are not going to be in our favor.
I think that it would be 9-7, likely it is still not good enough for the playoff, but it is fine for me. We will get better next year.
9-7 Good enough to draft this guy! Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon Him or the best ILB available. I feel like we will keep Andre so I would stay away unless you can get Cooper from Bama.
